This Property was an incredible and delightful experience. The location, décor, amenities were equal to the breath taking views, beautiful beaches and wonderful Laguna Beach were nothing short of perfect. We are six long time friends getting together and a frankly pretty demanding in our tastes and standards. We were all blown away by the owners amazing taste — we all loved the way the décor mixed beachy comfort with such lovely antiques, books and paintings — hard to pull off and done with impeccable taste and style … we were all taking notes and pictures. The owner put together a special favorite picks of restaurants, shops and beaches, as well as art galleries, farmers markets and great things to do … even where the best free yoga outside classes are at the beach.
We swam in the ocean, hiked in the hills and walked along the cliffs, had lunch at Moulin and Zinc, shopped in the villager and had dinner at the Montage, talking all the time. In the evenings we sat out on the patio and drank champagne and took in the gorgeous views. It literally could not have been a better celebration of friendship.
We cooked together in the beautifully appointed and fully equipped kitchen . There is a wonderful feel about this house …giving us great space to be together or provide privacy to read a book while still being a part of the group. Brilliant design . We have already planned another visit for next year.
Highly recommend this beautiful home for its charm, location, comfort and feel that made our vacation extraordinary.

Anyone who plans a stay in Laguana Beach should book this rental. It is well situated to the town. The beach is within walking distance. The ocean view is breathtaking. The house is tastefully decorated to complement the feel of a New England cottage with plenty of comfortable furnishings. Gorgeous hardwood floors, beautiful paneling. Every bedroom is appointed with comfortable from cozy beds, comfy chairs, fluffy towels-- all decorated in restful tones of sand and sun and blues. windows open onto greenery. The spotless adjoining baths leave nothing wanting. The upper floor is designed on the open concept plan with plenty of family space for dining and prepping meals accompanied by the ever-present panoramic view. The well-appointed kitchen was nothing short of amazing. The deck opens off the main floor--mornings were especially nice--wandering out on the deck with our coffee.
Laguna and the surrounding area has great bistros and lots of interesting shops. Visit Balboa Island and don't miss the sunset on the boardwalk on the beach. Our family enjoyed every minute, will be back!!

We stayed in this extraordinary home for five days following Christmas 2014. As other reviewers have mentioned, the pictures do not do it justice. This home was lovingly designed, built and furnished by its owners with attention to beauty, comfort, and most importantly, presence and appreciation for experiencing a spectacular view of the ocean. During our stay, the weather was warm and we opened the double french doors to the bricked, wrap around porch to let in every bit of sea air and soft winter light. Not that this is all that necessary as the top floor of the home has beautifully cased windows along every ocean - viewing wall. Other delights in the home include a well stocked gourmet kitchen with a six burner Thermador range/oven, new appliances (dishwasher, microwave), luxury linens and comfortable beds, four living rooms, and four large bedrooms including a large master suite with a marble bathroom with a double sized whirlpool tube and double glassed in shower. The house was also spotlessly clean.
Finally, Diane the homeowner is the consummate hostess. We spoke with her before we arrived about things to do in Laguna Beach including how to find the best walking beach for my 85 year old father. During our stay we had an elder health issue and Diane coached us on the best ER and how to find emergency care. We also received a number of great travel tips from Diane on local beaches (don't miss Crystal Cove Beach & State Park), best place for brunch with a view (Las Brisas), and where to find a great restaurant without reservations (take a walk down Forrest Street).
You would be lucky to get to stay in this gracious and comfortable home. It's a one-of-a-kind experience and the best VBRO or AirBnB we've rented. We'll try to nab another stay every time we are in Laguna and are already planning our next visit.

This is one of the most unique and beautiful homes I have ever seen . I manage a luxury hotel for a living so I certainly understand high end. But what this exquiste gem of a Beach House had was a charm and personality which lifted our spirits each morning and made us comfortable and happy each evening. The views were spectacular and watching the sunset over Catalina each evening was a joy. The style was understated and individual and the beautiful finish details were everywhere . The kitchen with its fireplace and white marble countertops and island was so much fun to cook in. three choices of dinnerware - the kitchen equipment was excllent. I honestly couldnt believe it when while making pancakes in the morning, I watched as whales were passing by. The master was incredible as well with a library, fireplace and a view from the Jacuzzi tub in the master bath. The beds and linens were excellent quality and the property immaculate. The Beach nearby was beautiful surrounded by cliffs. I have always loved Laguna and have stayed in many great places but this vacation and this lovely beautiful home made this a very special vacation. Our family gets together once a year in Laguna and this will be the place we will return to .
