About this chalet rental
For your ski holidays or even for the summer season, come and stay at Chalet les Marmottes in Alpe d'Huez (Isère - 38).
This beautiful fully renovated individual chalet can accommodate 10 people.
The view of the mountain range is magnificent, the chalet overlooks the resort, you will benefit from it thanks to the south-facing terrace, for your lunches between 2 pistes or during après ski.
▬ The Station & shops ▬
The center of the station is 5 minutes walk from the chalet, so you will not use your car of the week, everything is nearby.
▬ Skiing ▬
The "signal" tracks are located on the back of the chalet.
To access the slopes, several solutions:
1- You can descend the 3 series of stairs, leading from the chalet to the Route du Signal and go up 150 meters, at the Hôtel les Grandes Rousses, then take the telecentre which will take you to the roundabout of the slopes. Leaving the chalet, you will then arrive at the roundabout of the slopes in 10 minutes.
2- You can go back to the back of the chalet for about 30 meters. Once on the return skier leading to Huez, you can reach the Grande Sure ski lift.
This arrives at the top of the Signal and you can start skiing. From the chalet to the Grande Sure ski lift, you need less than 5 minutes.
You will reach the chalet, at the end of your day, directly by ski. You will take off your shoes at the front door.
Back at the chalet, enjoy the sauna and the fireplace (wood provided, subject to stock), before the traditional raclette and fondue!
This 126m² chalet consists of:
- 4 bedrooms
- 1 bathroom
- 2 shower rooms
- 2 separate toilets
- 2 mezzanines
- 1 living room
- 1 kitchen
- 1 veranda with ski cupboard
- 1 sauna
- 1 terrace
It is fully equipped: dishwasher, 2 refrigerators, freezer, microwave, oven, washing machine, 2 flat screens, wifi, stereo, 2 umbrella beds for children and a high chair.
End of stay cleaning included.
The household linen is provided, including:
- 3 kits for 2 people (bed linen and towels)
- 4 kits for 1 person (bed linen and towels)
- Bath mats and tea towels adapted in quantity
We provide 2 parking spaces, private and covered, about 300 meters from the chalet.
Access to the chalet: 3 staircases - 50 steps.
Deposit of 1000 € (by bank transfer).
A personalized rental contract will be established.

Just returned from an amazing week at Chalet Les Marmottes in Alpe D. Having had the holiday cancelled in April 20 due to the pandemic, we were excited to finally get to the Chalet. The listing is very accurate, pictures true and the communication with the owner and chalet manager easy, quick and incredibly help. We were made very welcome and no question was left unanswered. The chalet was perfect for 8 - 2 families (adults and teenagers), spotlessly clean and pleanty of hot water. It provided all mod cons and supported a week of full-on self-catering; it even had a Kenwood mixer and blender. Two indoor parking spaces, 5 mins walk away, kept our cars safe for the week and from 3 nights of snow; just ask Chalet Manager for details of where to find passes/spaces. Great, quiet location, 5 mins walk from supermarket and baker plus 3-4 mins from yoghurt pots up to main piste area. The only tiny blip was the 3 flights of steps to and from the chalet but details are clear in the listing and we all got used to taking our ski equipment up and down in ski boots. Also with good snow, ski back to chalet is very possible! Overall, we loved this home from home and very reluctantly highly recommend. We hope to return.

Our group of 10 had a wonderful stay in this chalet. Location was ideal for the slopes, near the yoghurt pots that take you to the main lifts, but we usually walked (less than 10 mins). Restaurants and bars just a short walk away. Parking provided in local underground parking. Bedrooms and bathrooms were all clean, modern and very well maintained. Nice veranda where we sat outside and soaked up the sunny afternoons looking out to the mountains. Kitchen not as modern (dishwasher and sink probably need replacing) but still fine for our needs with hob, fridge and oven. There are 3 flights of steep steps up to the chalet when you are bringing your luggage in and out but we would not say this was a major problem. Owner was very responsive to our emails. We would certainly return.
