Charming stay in Port-En-Bessin Huppain, a lively little fishing port in the heart of the landing beaches, between Arromanches and the American cemetery of Colleville sur mer, located 10 km from Bayeux and 30 km from Caen.
You will stay in an old fisherman's house, completely renovated, in a contemporary style but retaining all its old charm with authentic furniture and decorations. Located on the second seafront, close to shops, the fishing port and a small auction.
LE BALUCHON PORTAIS is a warm, comfortable accommodation including:
- A fitted and equipped kitchen,
Oven, microwave, induction, fridge, freezer, coffee maker, SENSEO, .......
- A lounge equipped with armchairs and club sofa, with wood stove, flat screen, unlimited wifi, DVD, stereo, Books available.
- Separate toilet with dryer and washing machine,
- A room with small sea view with double bed (160x200) and bathroom with shower and its old parquet floor, renovated with style.
- A bedroom with a pull-out bed and bathroom with a bathtub.
For your comfort, the household linen is provided (hand towel, tea towel ...). Sheets can be rented. A house background will enhance your meals.
During your stay you can go fishing by foot and by line, hiking (marked circuits), golf, horse riding, paragliding ... and visit many museums.

Lovely town and house for our vacation. Wonderful experience. Watch your head at the top of the living room staircase, but there is a second set of stairs off the kitchen.

This is a quaint cottage in a lovely fishing village in the heart of Normandy. Everything is an easy walk nearby; restaurants, pubs, cafes, bakery, shops and a small grocery. There is parking up at the end of the lane from the cottage.While it advertised 2 bathrooms, it is a bit misleading. There is a bath tub in one bedroom and a shower in the other, actually in the room. There is only 1 toilet and it is downstairs. One set of stairs is narrow the other small and winding. Both were shown in the pictures. This may be standard in these very old cottages but was a bit of a challenge for 4 middle agers at night. Just something to consider. There was also a linen option for a charge that was a surprise. I had not experienced that in previous VRBOs in the US. I suspect this may be more common in Europe. The hostess was very responsive to all queries.

Fantastic location in beautiful village! We absolutely loved the area and it was close to everything we wanted to do. Very peaceful and relaxing. Hosts we great. We would definitely stay here again.

I booked a farm house cottage- the exterior image provided by vrbo was that- not a corner apartment. i was very disappointed- bait and switch. The apartment itself was well equipped, great location, clean.Hard to find as there was no number outside to indicate- had to ask someone in the neighborhood. Let people know the bathroom is downstairs.
