About this house rental
Our cottage is located in a pretty hamlet in the town of Aven d'Orgnac in Ardèche. It is new and has all the necessary comforts to spend a peaceful and pleasant holiday, whether inside the cottage or outside, on the terrace or around the pool. We have taken care to equip it with quality furniture and equipment in order to bring you maximum comfort. Its heating / air conditioning system allows us to make it available to you all year round.
Our gîte is located on our 3200 m² plot and adjoins our house. We will make common use of the swimming pool * (we have no children). Possibility to protect your two-wheeled vehicles from the rain.
Our accommodation is unfortunately not recommended for people with reduced mobility. For the well-being of all, it is non-smoking and our animal friends are unfortunately not accepted.
The gîte is made up of:
• Three bedrooms with 140 * 190 beds, bedside tables and wardrobes,
• A fully equipped kitchen (oven, induction hob, extractor, microwave, fridge with freezing compartment, dishwasher, coffee maker, kettle, toaster),
• A living room composed of a table and six chairs with a buffet,
• A living room with sofa, two clubs and its television,
• A bathroom with shower cabin with electric towel dryer and washing machine,
• An independent WC,
• A terrace (outdoor table, six chairs, gas barbecue).
The proposed rates include:
• Household chores,
• The supply of bed sheets. The beds are made on arrival (towels will be provided on request),
• Charges (water, electricity, barbecue gas) up to a reasonable consumption according to the terms of the rental contract,
• Internet access in all rooms (connection by RJ45 cable not supplied).
30% of the total rental amount will be requested upon booking and the balance upon delivery of the keys. A deposit of € 500 non-cashable is requested upon arrival.
We suggest that you join us between 5 p.m. and 6 p.m. on the Saturday of your arrival. Your departure will be made on Saturday before 10:00 am after the inventory.
Your stay can be enhanced with leisure activities such as pétanque, swimming, lazing around and other aperitifs at your rental location.
It can also be embellished with multiple visits, discoveries of prestigious sites or activities in the nearby surroundings such as:
• The archaeological and prehistoric sites of Aven d´Orgnac, Chauvet, Saint Marcel d'Ardèche, la Forestière, Cocalière, La Salamandre,….
• The magnificent villages to visit from Roques sur Cèze, Monclus, Barjac, Balazuc, Labeaume, Aiguèze, Vogué, Labastide de Virac, Goudargues,….
• Must-see cities within an hour's drive such as Avignon and its papal palace, Nîmes and its arenas, Vallon pont d'Arc, Anduze and its bamboo grove, Uzès, etc.
• Sports activities such as bike rides, adventure parks / tree climbing, canoeing / kayaking, horse riding / ponies / donkeys, underground hiking in Aven d 'Orgnac, tennis and municipal swimming pool,….
• Magic walks in the Païolive Wood, Gorges de l'Ardèche,….
• Many authentic markets, flea markets, cooperative cellars, restaurants and shops are easily accessible,
• And so many others ...

We had a wonderful stay at this lovely apartment in southern France. The place was clean, spacious, and fully equipped with everything we needed for a comfortable and relaxing vacation. We especially loved the peaceful natural surroundings and the many beautiful places to explore nearby. The interaction with our hosts was warm and welcoming—they were incredibly friendly and made us feel right at home. We’d happily return and can highly recommend this place to anyone looking for a tranquil and well-located getaway.

We stayed for 2 weeks at the end of August. It was very hot, but the pool and air conditioning were perfect for keeping cool. The property was very well equipped, perfectly clean and some basics like coffee washing liquid etc were provided. The pool area was lovely, clean and well maintained, with sun beds umbrella and some mature tress provided some shade, but plenty of full sun if that’s your thing. Note that all 3 bedrooms have double beds as described. Good safe parking, space for hanging washing, lovely patio area with vines providing shade. Very good gas BBQ. The property/ village is properly out of the way with some stunning views from the garden area, sadly not from the windows. Wi-Fi was limited but we had a reasonable phone signal which was better for internet in general, the kids managed on Wi-Fi. Lots of local walks, very quiet lanes, great wildlife, village with Boulangerie just 2 miles away, also a couple of hotels with bars, and a convenient store. Local town was Barjac, beautiful, with local bars restaurants, small shops and a small ish supermarket, this was about 25 minutes drive, but a very pleasant drive. Close enough to tourist centre of Pont D’Arc, the Ardèche river and gorge, also the quieter Ceze river. Overall a fantastic place and local area, very few English tourists. Finally must mention Nora and Patrice, lovely friendly hosts very helpful, welcoming and unobtrusive.
