It is the family home where I grew up and of which I have wonderful memories. I am happy to present this beautiful home to you, to make you discover my region and to share with you my good addresses ...
In the Gard department, in the heart of the Cèze valley, our 18th century house can accommodate
comfortably 11 people (12 if two young children share the same 120 cm bed). On the first level are the entrance hall, the dining room with its adjoining fully equipped kitchen, a large living room with a majestic staircase, 2 bedrooms, 1 bathroom and 1 separate toilet.
On the second floor, spread over each wing of the house, 4 bedrooms await you with two bathrooms and a small sitting area. In total, more than 200 m² are at your disposal to make each guest feel at ease.
According to your wishes, you will take your meals on a large terrace with a clear view on the garden and the medieval village of Cornillon, or in the summer kitchen of the pool-house.
The parking, the 2500 m² of the garden, the pool house and the swimming pool are completely private and reserved for our guests.
You will rest on deckchairs in the shade of centenary trees for some, or around the swimming pool and its pool-house, lulled by the song of cicadas ...
The 10 x 5 and 2 meter deep swimming pool, secured by an alarm and a gate, is a true oasis of freshness that will delight children and older children ...
Haven of peace and tranquility, this property is not isolated. You will benefit from all local shops within 2 km and an Intermarché about 400 meters. Finally, its privileged location will allow you to discover a particularly touristic region, with a preserved and authentic terroir, varied landscapes (vineyards, scrubland, Cévènnes, Provence, Camargue ...), remarkable natural sites (Gorges de l'Ardèche, Gorges du Gardon, Gorges de la Cèze, Cévènnes ...) and monuments and towns bearing witness to a rich historical past (Pont du Gard, Nîmes, Avignon, Uzès, Arles ....) ... Within a radius of 15 kilometers, you will discover many bathing places, visit several caves and aven among which the Aven d'Orgnac and the Salamandre cave, without forgetting many charming and characterful villages with their Provencal markets, notably Goudargues, the little Venice Gardoise, Cornillon and its painting exhibitions, and some classified as "most beautiful villages of France" such as Montclus, La Roque-sur-Cèze and its famous Sautadet, Aiguèze, and Lussan waterfalls.
Your holidays will be authentic, sporty, exotic, cultural, gastronomic, "tasting" and relaxing, far from the hustle and bustle of overcrowded cities and seaside resorts in summer and deserted the rest of the time ... You will enjoy the sweetness of Provencal life and the Mediterranean sun, by tasting our regional products and our wines from the Rhone coast directly at our producers or on the markets. Finally, you should quickly let yourself be tempted by an aperitif in the shade of the hundred-year-old plane trees of Goudargues after a game of pétanque ...

Grandparents, children and grandchildren of 5 to 16 years, 10 in total, stayed with delight in this beautifully maintained, nice restored and tastefully furnished classic big country house with all facilities inside and outside.
The accessible area is on the 1st and 2nd floor with a façade and large terrace facing S-E. Absolutely perfect for our family. Here we enjoyed the morning sun and aperitifs with great views. Then it was otherwise the summer kitchen by the pool, which pleased everyone :-)
We have enjoyed keeping household with French commodities in these tranquil and beautiful surroundings.
The castle, as the children called it, is located in a large well-kept park-like garden below Cornillon with several wineries and a wellstocked supermarket as 'neighbors' within approx. 600m. The village of Gourdargues with more shopping opportunities, market and nice restaurants along the canal is also within walking distance, approx. 1500m
Bigger and smaller excursions of course require a car, but there is also a lot to see!
The host, Renaud Coste, received us warmly with a thorough review and great tips; the local manager, Corinne, was both discreet and helpful. The swimming pool shone with the sun every morning, and although the period offered high temperatures, the pool, tall trees and the castle's thick walls dampened the worst heat ;-)
It was two wonderful weeks for all of us.

Vi har i mange år haft familietræf i lejet hus i Frankrig. I år var det nok et af de flotteste, hvor vi fornøjede os med husholdning (skønne franske råvarer!) i det fantastiske sommerkøkken med swimmingpool. Rolige og smukke omgivelser med herlige udflugter til øst og vest. Der er nok at se, men det kræver en bil.
Alt svarede rigeligt til forventningerne. Det blev to vidunderlige uger for os alle.

Both proprties were exactly as described, very well equipped and high standard of decor. The larger house perfect for people with young children, we had 3 aged 5,2 and new born. The other property being a bungalow ideal for my elderly mother. We were attending our sons wedding and Renard even arranged a taxi to do a shuttle service from the wedding venue. Christophe the taxi driver was wonderful introduced hinself before the wedding day and helped with child seats. We will definetly return to these properties the heated pools just made my grandchildrens holiday and we all had so much fun in both pools.Supermarket 5 mins walk away another great advantage. Thank you
