Originally the Gatehouse for “Stoke House”, this Victorian Rustic Gothic heritage cottage has been standing proud since 1860. Now modernized to a fully airconditioned ,cosy retreat with modern kitchen and bathroom. This 2 bedroom cottage is a perfect gateway for you to explore all Hobart has to offer from a central location.
An historical and charming street, only minutes away from local eateries, just a short walk to the bustling North Hobart restaurant/café strip. 15min drive to MONA. 5 mins to the city centre, 8 mins drive to Salamanca markets. Free wifi, lots of books on Tasmania and Tourist brochures and maps you may find helpful.

We stayed at this lovely cottage while we were competing at the Domain Athletics Centre over the Easter Weekend. It was a lovely old place with lots of character. The host was wonderfully responsive and provided us some basics for breakfast, which considering the lateness of our arrival was really appreciated. It was easy to park out the front and only a short drive to our venue as well as the city centre.
It was exactly what we were after and would highly recommend to others wanting to stay.

Great stay in this lovely little character home in a quiet central location. We were a family of 4 with 2 young children, and the house was equipped with everything to meet our needs. Vicki the host was also very responsive to communications.
