About this house rental
Elegant and spacious apartment on the first floor of a private house with garden and parking space. The apartment has 3 bedrooms with double beds, a bathroom and a spacious, fully furnished and functional kitchen. The house is located a few blocks from the city walls in an extremely quiet and safe area. The historic center of Lucca is easily reachable within a few minutes by bike or on foot. We'll give you the bikes if you do not have them. Lucca is a tourist city but still far from the major circuits of mass tourism. Lucca is a city where you can still buy some good vegetables from Franco, the greengrocer near the house, the excellent meat from Francesco, the butcher around the corner and some good wine from Roberto, at the wine bar in the square. If you prefer to be served and you want a special evening, book a table at the Buca di Sant Antonio; Do you want an informal and cheap place to taste typical Lucchese cuisine? pass by the Osteria delle Cose Buone in via della Fratta and leave a table for the evening. On the ground floor, completely independent from the upper floor, my mother lives who will surely be of help for any need. If you arrive by train the station is less than 2 km, but we will be happy to pick you up and take you home!

The property owner was very gracious and responsive to any questions or needs we had during our one month stay. The property is a 10-15 minute walk to the walls of Lucca on the west side. It is located in a nice quiet neighborhood with some local shops. We loved our stay!
