We had such a wonderful time at this beautiful property in a stunning location! It really is a special place and we’d love to come back again.Just a couple of things to mention that might help future guests: bed linen and towels aren’t included (we only found this out the week before and ended up paying extra for linen). The billiards table is actually French billiards rather than a pool table (also mentioned in listing - would recommend removing this) which our younger family members were a bit disappointed about. The house is lovely, but there are quite a lot of personal belongings in the wardrobes and cupboards, so space for hanging longer clothes is a little limited as rails are provided along with drawers. The bathrooms were all clean and in good order, though the kitchen could have been a touch cleaner. Luckily the weather was amazing, so we spent most of our time outside enjoying the sunshine, walks, and the river for kayaking. All in all, it’s a really happy, memorable place to stay — we made some lovely memories here and would definitely love to return! The history of the area itself and the house is fascinating. Anyone looking to book here won’t be disappointed. Whilst some people have commented on it being rural, it is around 15 minutes walk to the train station to get to Nantes and there are plenty of other places to visit on foot or by car

Our stay at Denis and Chantal’s home was beyond amazing. The photos of the house does not do it justice, it was like living on the set of a period piece. There was plenty of room for our family of 7 and the kitchen was equipped well enough for us to cook many meals at home. The views of the river were beautiful and every morning we sat outside with our coffee taking in all the sights and sounds. We had a wonderful time playing tennis almost daily and going for walks along the water. We highly recommend that everyone go experience this wonderful property.

We were 5-7 Adults renting the property for a month (over the Rugby World Cup). Every morning we took our coffee and pastries outside. What a view, right on the water. Rowers going by, yachts racing or just cruising, motorboats idling past. Cormorants fishing in flocks or following the cruise boats. Always something to see. One friend decided he was coming back to write a novel, such was the peace, tranquility and chilled vibe of the house and surrounds. A lovely big dining room table meant we could all sit around the same table. The bedrooms were generous, with 2 having their own shower room. On the 2nd floor 2 bedrooms share a bathroom but there is only 1 toilet for the first and second floors...not a big issue if you are all good friends. The kutchen was reasonably appointed and we were able to eat in most of the time. The location is fantastic with much to see and do within an hour. Our favourites were hiring of bikes for the many bike trails, renting a boat for a days adventure on the water (there is nothing like messing about in boats)...the many walks around the property are beautiful. An easy 15 min walk will take you to the train which will take you directly into Nantes. A must mention is the restaurant across the river from the house...it was so good we went 5 times while we were there (the name escapes me but Denis will put you in the right direction). Thank you for sharing your wonderful house
