This was an outstanding accommodation. Very large, very clean, kitchen was equipped with everything needed, large parking area. Bed is firm but comfortable. House stays cool naturally because of the stone construction. A bit of a steep 1km walk to the town, or there is easy free parking at the bottom of the hill. Excellent location close to the bicycle path and other bike routes. We would stay here again.

Everything you might possibly want included in this immaculate stone house.
Very comfortable furnishings and very friendly hosts. Close to old Apt, but also to good grocery stores, ideal for self catering. Highly recommended.

Hosts Elisabeth and Frederick could not have been nicer. They provided us with four huge corgettes (zucchini) from their garden as well as local wine and homemade jelly to start us off. Their English is not good and either is our French, but we were still able to communicate. The house is described as an apartment, but it's really a mini-villa. The floors are nicely tiled, and there is a lot of closet space. You will have plenty of room here, especially with the two full showers and two water closets, which are hard to find in France.
We stayed here in July, which means we really enjoyed the air conditioning. It's cold and a good thing to have during hot Provencal summers. We cycled for 12 rides from the house, which is in a great location for starting rides into the Luberon. You can come up with easy routes or difficult climbs to the villages. We rode through just about every village in the area from here, and the bike path thru Apt is just at the bottom of the hill to the house. The key word is bottom on that hill, as you must climb back to the house after every ride, but it can be done if you come in from the western road up the hill.
The kitchen is nicely equipped with microwave, oven, dishwasher, and plenty of dishes. The view from the sink while you are washing dishes is spectacular. There is no pool, but the madame at the house next door graciously invited us to use their "piscine" any time we wished. There is no electric clothes dryer, but your clothes will probably dry faster in the blazing sun outside.
Don't miss market day in Apt, which is on Saturday. If you are there during the summer, make sure you go to a "fete" in either Apt or one of the surrounding villages.
If we are in Apt in the future, we would definitely stay here again. We had a fabulous time, and we think you will too.
