In the heart of the Alpes de Haute Provence, this pretty house for four people, outside the village, in a peaceful setting, within a 2 hectare property of oaks and lavenders, offers a clear view of the Luberon. Its private and secure swimming pool is open from mid-May to mid-October. Its living room-kitchen with fireplace opens onto a shaded terrace in summer, the two bedrooms have their own bathroom / shower, two toilets.

From booking, through arrival and departure Didier was super helpful, responded quickly to messages and welcomed us to his idyllic gite. The gite is on the same property as Didier's house but completely secluded and in it's own space with huge grounds. We appreciated the fully equipped kitchen; everything you could need was there. The spacious bedrooms, simply and tastefully furnished with a calming effect after a days' exploring nearby villages and markets. A log burner for cosy evenings if it's cool and patio with uninterrupted views across the stunning Luberon valley to distract from your alfresco dining. Sainte Croix à Lauze itself is a tiny hamlet with no facilities (well, a toilet and telephone, apparently) but there are fantastic markets every day of the week in villages within 20-30km. If you need complete relaxation, closeness to nature (and lavender, local produce and wine) This Is The Place.
