About this house rental
This typical northern house with beams and stones is ideal for a couple looking for the calm and beauty of the countryside, 2 steps from the city and the heart of the Somme Bay. The house is placed in the heart of a 6 hectare natural meadow with panoramic views of the SOMME. Bikes available during the stay (Electric bikes or mountain bikes / hybrid bikes). Closed parking. Large natural meadow, garden furniture, barbecue but also the possibility of a small outbreak in the evening. Hydroget shower and aromatherapy!
Breakfast baskets, meals ... delivered to your door.
The 44 m2 house consists of:
- a small kitchen / living room with oven and induction hob, toaster, coffee maker, fridge ...
- garden furniture, barbecue
- a pellet stove
- television and DVD player will enhance your stay.
You will go upstairs with the original miller's staircase the bedroom offers a panoramic view of the meadow and the Somme next to your "AMOUR" shower room
Linen is provided (bed linen, towels and household). In the garden, you have a terrace, garden furniture and a barbecue.
You can have access to a canoe departure and a restaurant 500 meters away. The Somme along the ground, walks and swimming, cycling and fishing activities will enhance your vacation.

We had such a relaxing stay. The maisonette is so cute, and the nice area around it almost "forces" you to take it very easy and slow. We totally not felt guilty we only did a few trips in the larger Somme area and stayed outside the little house reading and enjoying the quietness and the animals walking by. The hosts are also extremely friendly and helpful and speak English.

Un véritable havre de paix au cœur de la nature et à deux pas de la Somme, des réveils au chant du coq, des chats qui ronronnent, le vent qui chante dans les arbres, une petite maison trop craquante avec tout ce qu’il faut pour le quotidien, une prairie rien qu’à nous, des commerces à proximité, le stationnement privé, et des propriétaires très sympathiques, discrets mais présents si besoin ! Bref, nous désirions de la tranquillité et le séjour à juste été délicieux !!! Un tout grand merci !!!

We came to attend the 100 year commemorative service of the start of the Battle of the Somme, at the Thiepval Memorial, near Albert. We stayed an additional couple of nights as we love the area.Marc and Florence (and Hortense!) made us very welcome. We absolutely loved la petite maisonette, Cocoon - quirky and unique, yet clean, comfortable, well-equipped and in a beautiful bucolic setting.It made a perfect base for exploring this historic area. Le Touquet, Saint Valery, Amiens, Montreuil are only a short drive away.Marcs recommendation, La Picardiere (only 10 minutes walk away) was an authentic regional restaurant and a great place to eat.
