The boat housing is a unique experience in Amsterdam. The boat was moving almost every day between different ports. It resided at Zaandam which is very convenient if you want to visit the village. I also love that they offer breakfast.
The room is a bit small. And the ventilation is purely rely on the small window. So it may be a bit smelly. But for the price it is very acceptable. The lounge is a much better place to stay during the day and before going to bed.

Location, friendly staff, facilities- very handy to have cooking facilities even though I didn't use them, fridge, water and coffee - nice touch.
Price! €150 for a night for a tiny room, early check out 10.30 - although I asked for a late check out and they messaged me to say I could stay till 12. Had to put on my own duvet cover. No shampoo - all very hostel like. Not hostel prices unfortunately. Shower Luke warm. Room barely warm enough.

Breakfast was good and location excellent - easy to find central Amsterdam, train station etc. Staff were helpful, allowing me to stash my bags there during the day before my flight.
The room was much smaller than I expected. I was there in winter, during icy cold rain and wind, so this may have affected my impression of the boat. In summer it would feel more relaxing to stay here.
