About this villa rental
The villa has a unique location on Lake Aydat with a splendid view. It is facing south. The large garden around the house with many trees provides total tranquility, it is equipped with a portico with swings that will delight children. The villa is on 2 levels: the 2 levels overlook the garden facilitating the life outside. There are 2 bedrooms per level + a small extra bedroom to the kitchen. The arrival terrace leads directly to the 1st level. The large outside staircase made of lava stone takes you to the 2nd level. Each level of the house has all the comforts with a bathroom and a toilet. The arrangement on 2 floors allows 2 families of friends to have privacy or teenagers to sleep down for a better tranquility. The lower level has a kitchenette for morning coffee. The large arrival terrace allows parking cars without worries while allowing to cycle and play petanque. The house is well heated with central heating which also produces hot water. This family house will welcome you in an Auvergne atmosphere with its vast white stone fireplace St-Nectaire, its Auvergnat style furniture, large comfortable beds. It is a traditional family home comfortable with a lot of charm. The lower floor was renovated in the spring of 2016 and an integrated kitchen has replaced in 2018 the old kitchen to bring you more facilities. Overall, we enjoyed out stay. The location of property met expectations along with roominess, and beds were comfortable. Since it was an older property that had been updated in the last 10 years (guess), it had a lot of quirks. The upstairs bathroom had a very small shower and no places to hang towels. The kitchen was small and crowded with lots and lots of stuff. Very challenging working conditions.

We really enjoyed our stay. Sitting outside looking out at the lake during breakfast was so peaceful and relaxing. Some reviews have commented that the place needs updating. While that may be true, we also enjoyed the fact that there were old cabinets in the living room, books that had been there a long time, etc. If you want a five star hotel stay at the Ritz Carlton or the Peninsula. If you want a place with some charm stay at a place like this.

La maison est spacieuse et très bien placée. Notre séjour a été gâché par la forte odeur de fuel qui vient de la cuve . Cette odeur se répand dans toute la maison et est très incommodante. Il est aussi très particulier de vivre dans les affaires des anciens propriétaires. Les armoires et autres tiroirs sont encore garnis des effets personnels des parents peut être décédés du propriétaire actuel. Manque d'intimité dans la salle de bains de l'etage, les fenetres sans rideaux donnant sur l'escalier.
