About this house rental
Located at the confluence of two rivers in the heart of the castles of the Loire, the Manoir du Plessis stands in the middle of 20ha of wheat fields. His style is of great originality and four centuries of architecture (from the fifteenth to the eighteenth) coexist harmoniously. Nobody can resist his charm!
The French garden, designed by Joachim Carvallo, who designed the famous garden of Vilandry Castle, is a haven of peace, calm and serenity. The spacious house of more than 250 m2 is furnished with beautiful antique furniture. The room upstairs, about 125 m2, is paved with tomettes and decorated with kilims, ceiling beams. Furnishings include a four-poster king-size bed, an excellent Erard grand piano and comfortable reading and writing areas. The bathroom located in the former dovecote offers all the comfort thanks to its large bath, separate shower, toilet, two sinks and dressing room. Two other rooms on the ground floor with garden view have another bathroom with bath-shower and toilet. An additional toilet (third) is located on the ground floor under the stairs. The living room has a large flat screen tv. Wi-Fi is available in all rooms. The very spacious private kitchen is fully equipped. The indoor parking is reserved for you in the pyre. Access to the arbor is at your disposal. You will find a table, chairs, two armchairs with cushions and a barbecue.

This is a special property. Unique, historic building and decor. We also loved the garden and the peaceful setting. Perfect complement to our time in the Loire Valley. The owners were also kind and friendly.

A Beautiful historic Property in the heart of Loire Valley. A great location to explore all of the Chateaux of the region and return in the evening and feel like you’re experiencing history by just staying there. Well equipped kitchen, wonderful bathrooms, and comfortable bedrooms.

We absolutely loved our stay here. The property is full of history, character and was totally immaculate, which for an old building with so many fabulous ornaments and books etc, is no mean feat!
Fantastic location. So much to do and so incredibly beautiful.
I am very glad however, that even though the property technically sleeps 6, that we were just a couple and could use the wonderful main bedroom and bathroom. Unfortunately, the two other bedrooms are rendered almost entirely useless by the fact that they do not have either shutters, or curtains. Not only is light a big issue, but the fact that these bedrooms are on the ground floor, in a fairly communal situation, privacy is a huge problem. The bathroom servicing these two rooms is also very dated when compared with the master bathroom.
Thankfully for us this was not an issue and we just enjoyed the truly spectacular main bedroom and bathroom, but one couple would be very disappointed if you were two couples.
Also worth noting, the outside space is not directly off the property but it is lovely nonetheless.
All in all a wonderful, interesting place to stay in a great location. Would definitely go back!
