Our villa is located in the heart of southern Ardèche offering a picturesque site on the banks of the river Ardèche and the valley of Ibie, for swimming, fishing and canoeing and kayaking.
The villa is 60m2, fenced garden with trees 800m2. private pool (7,5x3) secure. In a green environment, 2 minutes walk from the valley town center Pont d'Arc and to all amenities and activities (canoeing, caving, climbing, hiking, canyoning, beaches, historic sites, picturesque villages ....) 2 bedrooms , living area, 1 fully equipped kitchen, a bathroom, 2 terraces, private parking, and a garden.

My wife and I enjoyed our stay here. The villa is located about 10 minutes walk out of Vallon Pont d'Arc where there are lots of restaurants and other shops. Supermarkets are just a short car journey away. The villa itself has the majority of equipment that you would expect. English renters note, though, that there is no kettle, just a coffee maker, but if you want hot water for tea or instant coffee it's easy enough to boil a pan on the hob.
The immediate location is a little daunting when you arrive as there is quite a lot of building going on around the immediate area of the villa. However, this wasn't a problem; the property is screened and any development work was not noisy so we enjoyed a peaceful 10-day stay.
The rooms are a good size and the pool is good. There is air conditioning in he open-plan kitchen/dining/living area which is a relief in hot weather. The bedrooms are not air conditioned, although this was not a problem for us as the temperature dropped in the evenings in September.
There was a misunderstanding over the supply of linen. The website states that linen is provided so we didn't take bed linen or towels with us. On arrival, the owner was not there so we were left to be shown around by the cleaner and after she left we discovered that there were no sheets and no towels. A telephone call resolved the issue of bed linen but we did have to go out and buy towels, not an easy thing to do in a strange town on a Saturday evening. Message to renters: check exactly what is provided before you set out. Message to owners: make sure your website is correct.
The owner lives in another property over the back. She has a young family so we didn't see too much of her, but we're pretty self-sufficient so, once again, this wasn't a problem. There's a good supply of brochures in the villa showing attractions in the area. That's another advantage. There are plenty of places to visit within easy driving distance.
All-in-all, we had a lovely time in this beautiful part of France.

The villa was well equipped and spotlessly clean with Isabelle, the owner, living behind the property and happy to help should the need arise. The location was superb as the centre of Vallon, with its shops and restaurants, was only a ten minute walk away.
The whole area is stunningly beautiful with activities to suit all tastes. There are wonderful signposted walks, cycling and canoeing for the more adventurous, glorious medieval villages and scenic drives for days out and always the option to just soak up the sun, swim and enjoy the excellent local cuisine.
