About this house rental
Modern house offering all comforts including:
- on the ground floor: living/dining room with TV and sofa bed, equipped American kitchen, bathroom and separate toilet;
- and upstairs: 2 bedrooms with fitted wardrobes, one with a double bed, the other with 3 single beds and a desk. Wifi included.
Perfect for couples and families, the house is ideally located, a few steps from the center, shops and restaurants, and facing the sea with access in 2 minutes by an alley on the beach of St Germain sur Ay, in the swimming area supervised by the SNSM.
You will discover the joys of swimming and fishing on foot, good air without pollution, wide open spaces, trails in the dunes, and magnificent sunsets! Not to mention the islands of Jersey and Guernsey, Mont St Michel, the Viking castle in Pirou, the hikes in the cliffs of Carteret and La Hague... And our local gastronomy (seafood, salt-meadow lamb, Camembert cheeses Réo in Lessay, cider, Calvados...).

- The house has been completely renovated in 2024 (all the rooms, not to mention the roof and insulation). It now offers great comfort!
- The house shares the land of the property and the access to the alley that leads to the beach with another house. And it's great for well-behaved dogs:) who love the great outdoors!
- and don't forget to bring your own linen... We provide you with blankets, pillows and duvets, but not sheets, pillowcases, covers and towels. Thank you!

We had a very nice stay. The house has been lovingly renovated and has every amenity. The kitchen is well-equipped. The location, right on the beach, is wonderful and very quiet. Christophe was a wonderful host; we felt completely at home and would book again anytime.

We had a wonderful stay at this freshly renovated and very cozy holiday home. The renovation was definitely worth it, making the interior even better than expected. The listing doesn’t fully reflect the recent renovations—inside, it exceeded our expectations. However, the exterior photos could be improved as they show the neighboring property and a path to the beach that no longer exists. The house is actually set back from the main road, and the “garden” is shared with several houses and also serves as a parking area. The listing could be more accurate in this regard.
Despite this, there is a fantastic path to the beach just 1-2 minutes away, which we absolutely loved. The region is phenomenal, and the view from the first floor is breathtaking.
The house is well-equipped, though we recommend bringing your own pots and pans if you plan to do a lot of cooking—the induction stove is excellent.
The house was spotless, and communication with the hosts was perfect—nothing more we could have wished for.
The front doors are secured with additional wooden panels, which is great for safety, but they don’t fully open after the renovation as they catch at the top.
The beds were very clean, and the mattresses were good but a bit soft for our taste—though that’s a matter of preference.
The WiFi was perfect, with strong 5G coverage.
The beach and the surrounding coastline are simply stunning! Shops and supermarkets are nearby, making everything very convenient.

L'emplacement de la maison est super, la grand jardin donne sur une grande plage, idéal pour les couchers de soleil.
On a cependant été surpris de découvrir que le grand jardin est partagé avec une autre location : on a du veiller à ce que les chiens des deux locations ne se croisent pas. Autre mauvaise surprise, le terrain est clôturé mais la clôture ou portail présente des trous assez gros, notre chien s'est échappé deux fois. Enfin la location est mitoyenne à une autre maison et les propriétaires en weekend assez bruyants. Niveau équipement, les couteaux sont à changer , difficile de lire le thermostat du four, douche à rafraîchir.
La location a des bons points pour sa localisation mais on aurait préféré être plus isolé niveau voisinage
