About this cottage rental
Beautiful self-catering cottage in a charming typical Provencal house, comfort, calm, in the middle of olive trees and on the heart of Bandol’s vineyard, on the hills between the villages of La Cadière and Castellet. Our estate of more than a hectare is entirely closed and planted with olive trees.
Entrance, double living room, kitchen and bedrooms open on to the living room, bathroom with separate toilets and large shower, heating, air-conditioning, flat screen television and washing machine. The ceilings are in wood, the floor is tiled with the traditional terra cotta and walls have an old style patina. The kitchen is fully equipped with oak wood and has Provencal colours. The living room is composed of a dining area with old style patina furniture combinning the Louis XV Ile de France style with Provencal shapes and of a comfortable living room. It opens on a wide terrace with table and barbecue. The room is equipped with a large 160x200 bed and a 90x190 bed.

We stayed in a cozy, well-appointed guesthouse that blended traditional Provençal décor with modern comforts. The views from our room were simply stunning, overlooking rolling hills and vineyards that stretched as far as the eye could see. Mornings were particularly special as we enjoyed our breakfast on the terrace, savoring the crisp and fresh air.

Our general impression was good. We would recommend this vacation property. Advice for improvement would be:
Renew the cooking equipment. Some pans are old and damaged. Clean also under cupboards and beds. Bedlinnen shoukd also be renewed.
But apart from minor remarks the location is great. The host has good ideas for interrsting sightseeiing spots. We would stay here again.

The rental is just like the pictures with so much charm! Jerome was extremely friendly and helpful on arrival writing us lists of grocery stores, beaches and events! Yet, it felt very private after our arrival. The pool is even prettier than the pics with lounge chairs to relax!

The cottage is tastefully decorated and nicely placed for a quiet break. Unfortunately, a few things irked us. These are as much HomeAway's fault, as the proprietors;
The fifty euro, non-refundable, cleaning fee is not explicitly mentioned in the breakdown of the costs and the five hundred euro cash security deposit is a pain, as we then have to change it back to GBP (why this can not be taken/refunded on the card that was used to book, we never understood)
Other annoyances include the lack of a few simple provisions in the kitchen, salt/pepper/oil, would have been of far greater use than a basket of sweets. The WiFi rarely worked, which is essential with the network coverage being so weak. A bit more clarity/information on the surrounding sites/restaurants would have been nice, rather than one scruffy bit of paper
