About this house rental
Space and serenity await you in the property located 550 yds from a beautiful sandy beach.
The beach is accessible by foot within 10 minutes.
The center of Saint-Cast is 5 minutes by car.
The ground floor (126 square yards) is comfortable, bright, spacious and friendly. It is completely indépendant from the upper floors (accessed via an outside staircase) occasionally occupied. A large enclosed garden (3600 sq yds) surrounds the property.
There is a portico suitable for children and teenagers and a great area to play ball for example. The terrace, south facing, with garden furniture, allows to take very nice meal outdoors.
The kitchen is well-equipped. One bedroom is particularly spacious, with sea view.. The living room and the garden have also got a sea view.
It is possible to rent sheets and towels for 25 € per person.
The beach has a family atmosphere. Young children can enjoy the beach clubs and their activities. During the summer, shows for children are offered.
As for the teenagers, they could go to the discotheques (there is one on the nearest beach), take advantage of great atmosphere in some bars, attend free modern concerts, walk on the promenade along the sea...
Many water sports are available including sailing, kayaking, windsurfing, kite surfing, boat rental, diving...
During high tides, it is possible to walk, feet in the water, from the Pen-Guen beach to the Ebihens island; you can fish shellfish, or go to the Fresnaye Bay and have fun catching small fishes that can be eaten fried.
Municipal swimming pool with heated sea water, offering swimming lessons.
Tennis club, 9 courts.
Famous golf, near the beach (at 1 mile from Saint-Cast) with stunning views of the sea.
Superb walks along the sea: 12 miles of coastal paths (mostly GR 34) and many other short walks crisscrossing the area.
For lovers of bikes: many markes trails.
The equestrian center offers courses and horseback riding through the lush hinterland or on sandy beaches.

We had a great stay in st Cast. The house is almost exactly as described. Great garden, brilliant for our dog. Great fence.(great for our mindset). I previously said “almost as described”: The master bedroom is lovely with doors to the garden and a distant view at sea. Better then described! The kitchen is small but very complete. I love to cook and usually bring a solid frying pan, knives etc. But did not need them. Everything is there. The beds were fine (we experienced differently over the years, especially in France, as we are all tall). Isabelle was very helpful to answer any questions (through the app). She was on the premise (totally separate upper floor) for a few days but very discrete. The one little thing is that if wifi everywhere is really important for you (for our teenagers for example 😊) it is limited to the master bedroom, kitchen and livingroom. The other bedrooms did have barely any range. Used TV once and worked straight away (no complicated 6 remotes and buttons everywhere protocol) We missed in our booking to order linen and towels and found that out a day before arrival but after contact with Isabelle it was taken care of when we arrived. So summarized, great, especially as dog owner!

We had a great time!
There was enough room for the 5 of us and it was a great advantage to be able to let the dog stray around in the garden without having to fear that he escapes.
The seaview from the main bedroom is amazing. All the lovely details make it a real home. Also, there was everything you need there!
We can absolutely recommend the stay in this house!

Der zweiwöchige Urlaub Anfang August in der Bretagne hat uns ausserordentlich gut gefallen. Das beschriebene Objekt ist typisch bretonisch, wir haben uns sehr wohl gefühlt. Der Garten ist riesig mit einer Schaukel, mit der sich unsere Kinder stundenlang beschäftigt haben. Das Haus ist gut ausgestattet, Küche hat alles, was man braucht. Die Einrichtung ist sehr einfach, aber funktional.n Die Lage in Saint-Cast ist sehr gut, der Strand ist in fünf Gehminuten erreichbar, für Einkaufe (auch morgens zur Bäckerei) muss das Auto genommen werden...
"Nur" drei Sterne aufgrund folgender Kriterien:
- Gemäss Inserat stellte ich mir vor, dass wir ein freistehendes Einfamilienhaus mieten. Dem ist nicht so. "Unsere" Räumlichkeiten waren lediglich die erste Etage, oben wohnte die Eigentümerin. Sie ist sehr nett, dagegen ist nichts auszusetzen. Mich störte es trotzdem, da wir unsere Kinder zu "Unzeiten (Abends/Frühmorgens)" zur Ruhe ermahnen mussten, und genau das wollte ich in den Ferien nicht...
- Für mich stimmte die Preis-Leistung für zwei Wochen für dieses Objekt für eine Etage (+Garten), mit diesem Ausbaustandard und dieser Einrichtung, ist, trotz Saison, nicht.
Nichts desto trotz hat uns das Haus, die Umgebung etc sehr gefallen, es war ein sehr schöner Urlaub.
