Upscale cottage in Strasbourg with private parking

Natalie’s cottage is a unique home in Strasbourg. Our family of 5 enjoyed restful sleep in comfortable beds, showering in endless hot water, preparing meals in the well appointed kitchen, eating meals at the roomy table, evening conversations in the living room with the lighted live Christmas tree. The entire cottage is thoughtfully decorated and preserves the history of centuries past. Short walks to grocery store, bakery & E tram to arrive in historic city center. It was a pleasure to meet you Natalie! Thank you for providing us a memorable time in Strasbourg - it felt like a home away from home. Merry Christmas!

We spent four days with friends in this lovely little cottage. It was our first visit to Strasbourg and things couldn’t have been more perfect. This 300 year old gîté retains the charm of an old house treated with love. The outside and much of the inside transports you back to the 1700s but it has been renovated to provide all of the needs a modern traveler would want: big modern, well equipped kitchen, big living area and good bathrooms (one upstairs and one down). The beds, both twins pushed together to make doubles, were comfortable enough but one bedroom has a low slanted ceiling so watch your head. Our hostess Corinne was an absolute pro and her availability and attentiveness made our stay a seamless one. We visit France often but had never been to Strasbourg. As Corinne warned us, parking a car in Strasbourg is not possible so we relied on the tram, a 10 minute walk away, to get us into the city. The tram is a sleek, contemporary jewel, easy to use and quick into town. And the city of Strasbourg, OMG, four days is not enough! So much to do and see. We arrived just before the famous Christmas Market opened and had the pleasure of watching the city transform itself. To us, Strasbourg had a strong Paris vibe in that it was filled with high end shops of all kinds: clothing, art and antiques, flowers, books and lots of interesting cafes and restaurants (try Umami for a unique fine dining experience). We absolutely loved this cottage. It’s even more charming and spacious in person! The beds are very comfortable and the attention to detail and effort put into the furniture and decor selection were well appreciated. We will definitely stay here again!!

Fun Alsatian home that has been completely and comfortably remodeled. The owner was easy to deal with and very polite. She was courteous and cared about all of our needs. Close to public transportation located in a good neighborhood. I would highly recommend this property, and would stay there again if I was in Strasbourg.
