LES MENUIRES apartment rental at the foot of the slopes for 6 people

Probably a little larger than average appartment in the price range, well equipped with plenty of kitchenware and loads of cleaning products, bin bags etc... in cupboards when we arrived. Maybe two hundred metres from Sherpa supermarket and Intersport at Preyerand. Accessible from Bettex on way home, or by hanging a right off the run from Preyerand area to Pointe de Masse. Ski out to Bettex or Tortellete lifts. Good communication from owner and key holder.

C'est un appartement bien équipé pour une semaine de ski. Il manquerait juste un plat à tarte pour pouvoir faire une quiche par exemple avec un four qui le permet. Seul souci le bruit le matin des autres occupants qui mettent leurs chaussures de ski dans les escaliers ..il devrait y avoir une pancarte d interdiction.

Die mit 30 m2 kleine Ferienwohnung ist durchdacht und komplett eingerichtet. Für Familien und Leute die sich sehr gut verstehen und kennen eine klasse Unterkunft in Les Menuieres. Die ebenerdige Lage im Tiefpaterre ermöglicht einen schnellen Zugang über die Terasse und dadurch auch direkt zur Piste (Lift Bettex). Einkaufsmöglichkeit ist fußläufig mit dem Carfoure montagne in unter 5 Minuten erreichbar. Die Schlüsselübergabe wird gut erklärt und hat gut geklappt. Französisch Kenntnisse sind für die Kommunikation wie meist in Frankreich von Vorteil. Leider kann der Warmwasserboiler abends kaum ausreichend warmes Duschwasser für fünf Personen nachliefern. 6 x warme Duschen und warm Abwaschen ist sportlich. Wir können uns eine erneute Buchung sehr gut vorstellen. Das Preis - Leistungsverhältnis ist schwer zu toppen! Wir sind sehr zufrieden.

Overall our experience renting this property was poor. The size and location was good. It would not be good for more than 4 adults. Getting the keys turned out to be unnecessarily complicated. Cleanliness seems to be dependent on how the last guest left the property. The floor had rocks and dirt and we found an empty wine bottle under a bed. The linen situation is a nightmare. While the property is well stocked with utensils it is completely absent of basic consumables like salt, sugar, oil, tea/coffee etc. This makes it incredibly expensive for anyone wanting to cook any meals as the local stores only seem to sell large packs. We had to buy 1kg of sugar just for morning coffees.
