About this house rental
This cozy vacation home is located in the Vulkaneifel village of Strohn, surrounded by romantic volcanic maars, Pulvermaar and Holzmaar. It is comfortably furnished and with three separate bedrooms it offers enough comfort for a family or a close group of friends. Strohn offers many sights, such as the Lava Bomb at the entrance of the village, the Museum Vulkanhaus or the idyllic Strohner Schweiz, a breakthrough valley of the river Alf. Let yourself be enchanted by the Strohner fairy tale and the Pulvermaar or hike on one of the numerous hiking trails in the immediate vicinity. Cyclists also get their money's worth on the Maare-Mosel bike path. Take a trip to the Moselle, Trier or even Luxembourg.

Summary of reviewsA perfect quiet place surrounded by beautiful nature, ideal for writing retreats. The owner and his son were very friendly and helpful. Despite poor phone reception, the house stayed cool even on hot days, allowing us to focus on our writing.

Zweimal im Jahr trifft sich meine Autorinnengruppe, um an einem ruhigen Ort gemeinsam zu schreiben. Dieses Mal fanden wir hier "unser" Ferienhaus. Strohn bietet sich hierfür an. Eine wunderschöne Ecke, in der die Natur zum Laufen und Energietanken einlädt und so wenig los ist, dass man ungestört arbeiten kann. Der Vermieter (bzw dessen Sohn) war sehr freundlich und hilfsbereit. Einziger Wehmutstropfen: das Handynetz ist in Strohn schwierig. Auf dem Friedhof gab es Empfang, im Haus weniger (dafür aber Wlan, das wir aber auch an seine Grenzen brachten). Lieferservice in der Eifler Region ist obendrein sehr schwierig. Das durften wir schon mehrfach erleben. Leider. Was wirklich wunderbar war: Draußen war es tagsüber sehr heiß, im Haus jedoch immer angenehm kühl, so dass wir konzentriert an unseren Texten waren.
Der Vermieter verlangte zehn Euro mehr für die Endreinigung. Da wir aber ansonsten sehr zufrieden waren, sahen wir das als Trinkgeld an.
