About this house rental
Grønninghoved is located in an attractive area with a varied nature, clean bathing beaches and many exciting destinations. This magnificent vacation home with a fantastic panoramic view over the Little Belt is located at the foot of Skamlingsbanken, the highest elevation in South Jutland (113 m). On the hill Skamlingsbanken there are many nature trails, you have a beautiful view of the countryside between Kolding and Christiansfeld and furthermore popular outdoor opera performances are held on this elevation every year in August. The old royal town of Kolding is now a modern shopping town with a lively and charming city center. The town is home to the Koldinghus, which houses precious medieval art treasures, and changing special exhibitions of high quality are also popular with many art enthusiasts here. In the Trapholt Art Museum you can admire one of the most important collections of modern Danish paintings and also an interesting collection of Danish furniture classics. A visit to Den Geografiske Have can be highly recommended, the garden contains a variety of roses and dahlias, spice and medicinal herb gardens and rare trees and shrubs. Kolding is also home to Kolding Storcenter, the largest shopping center in Denmark. Christiansfeld is an architectural gem with its straight streets, lovely buildings and a uniquely beautiful church square. The town is also famous for its original and excellent honey cakes. In Haderslev, be sure to visit the cathedral church, and be enchanted as you stroll through the carefully renovated narrow streets with crooked houses. The paddle steamer 'Helene' will take you on a lovely trip across Haderslev Fjord to the island of Årø. You will find especially family-friendly amusements at Legoland in Billund.
