My stay at HITrental Marktplatz Apartments was very enjoyable overall. The property is in an excellent central location, making it extremely convenient for getting around the city. It was only one minute from the bus stop and supermarket, while the river was just a five-minute walk away.
The room was spacious and comfortable, with large windows offering nice outside views that made the apartment feel bright and airy. Having a kitchen was a great advantage, and it was equipped with useful cookware and utensils, which made the stay even more practical.
A small improvement would be to provide essential kitchen basics such as salt and olive oil, which would make the kitchen even more convenient for guests. In addition, the curtains were slightly too short for the window size, so the room could not become completely dark at night.

Unfortunately no bathroom extractor and no window. Only one pillow each on the bed.

A very clean apartment that is spacious and well-equipped for basic cooking. The shower pressure is strong and enough shower gel and shampoo is provided for your stay. The location is right in the middle of the old town so it could not be better. The area is generally pretty quiet in the mornings and evenings, allowing a restful night. The check in and out is really easy with the automatic key dispenser at the front door. I would definitely choose this place if I come back to Basel.
