About this house rental
High situated vacation house with wonderful far views of town and landscapes. Wasungen, a town in the district of Schmalkalden-Meiningen in Thuringia, is one of the oldest towns in the region. Stroll in the old town through narrow streets, past beautiful half-timbered houses, which testify to a long history and earlier times of prosperity. A nice destination for an excursion is the landmark of the town or the castle ruin Maienluft, which towers high above the town. In the town, the carnival has a long tradition, which even goes back to the Middle Ages. In addition to the Thuringian Forest, the open hills of the Vorderrhön invite you to wonderful hikes, and the Werratal bike trail leads directly through the town. Experience the nearby forest botanical plants, which are considered a rarity, and take city trips to Meiningen, Eisenach, Erfurt, Gotha, Weimar or Schmalkalden. On the Werra you can go kayaking or canoeing.

Das Ferienhaus ist schön eingerichtet, und es ist alles da, was den Aufenthalt gemütlich und entspannt macht, z.B. schöne Gartenstühle mit Auflagen, Liegen od. auch Grill. Es besteht ebenfalls die Möglichkeit am offenen Feuer draußen zu sitzen, und den unheimlich schönen Ausblick über das Tal und die gegenüberliegenden Berge zu genießen! Diesen Ausblick gibt es auch von den beiden Balkonen! Die Küche ist gut eingerichtet, mit Backofen und Cerankochfeld, Kühlschrank und Mikrowelle, Wasserkocher und Toaster. Geschirr ist auch in ausreichender Anzahl vorhanden. Dazu ein großer Garten, ideal für Hunde, die auch herzlich willkommen sind. Zur Entspannung ist ein Fernseher und Radio da, sowie Computeranschluss. Die örtlichen Gaststätten bieten auch günstige Tagesgerichte an, und sollte es mal etwas "stilvoller" sein, so kann man auch im Burghotel Maienluft gut essen. Wir sind vom Ferienhaus dorthin gewandert, ca. 1000 mtr. damit wir auch den Rotkäppchen Sekt genießen konnten. Die Vermieter haben uns zu einem Grillfest mit Thüringer Rostbratwurst eingeladen, und haben uns auch einiges über das Leben in Wasungen erzählt. Wir haben schöne Wanderungen in den pilzreichen Wäldern gemacht und die 2 Wochen wirklich genossen. Leider haben wir nur die beginnende Herbstfärbung der Wälder miterlebt, wir hätten eigentlich noch länger bleiben müssen;-)!
