The structure presented by us is located in a strategic position, with a wonderful view of the Abbey of Badia a Passignano and the Chianti hills. Ideal place to discover the typical villages of Chianti and their cities of art. Beautiful, cosy country house "Badia a Passignano", surrounded by vineyards. Above Badia a Passignano 10 km from the centre of San Donato in Poggio, 30 km from the centre of Firenze, 40 km from the centre of Siena, in a quiet, sunny position on top of a hill, in the countryside. For shared use: garden with plants and trees, swimming pool (6 x 12 m, seasonal availability: 12.Apr. - 25.Oct. pool opening hours: 08:00-21:00) with salt-electrolysis pool-cleaning system. Outdoor shower, garden furniture, barbecue, children's playground. In the house: internet access, central heating system, washing machine, heating available only from 01.Nov. - 15.Apr.. My mum and I had a wonderful week in this apartment up in the Tuscan hills. The views from the property are incredible (with both the monastery at Badia very visible and the mountains in the background providing a gorgeous backdrop). The flat itself is well equipped and is perfect for 2 people (it would be fine for 3 but it's definitely meant for 2, with 2 seats at the outside tables and 2 comfy chairs to read in etc). The pool and multiple areas/terraces with tables you can use is great. While the location was great for us, it is quite remote and it's not near to many bigger towns or cities, so it's perfect if you're looking for small trips to hill villages etc rather than bigger excursions.
The hosts were very friendly, and it's a unique place in that you're living alongside an Italian family. We absolutely loved it, with children and dogs of the family around, but a warning that there isn't a huge amount of privacy so you are very much all together when you're outside. There are also 3 other holiday apartments on the site, so lots of children in the pool etc but it all worked really well for us.
We had a lovely week - would recommend!

Wir waren eine Woche in der schönen Toskana und haben die Ferienunterkunft genießen dürfen. Es war super. Die Ruhe und das tolle Grundstück. Die Vermieter waren supernett. Wir würden jederzeit wiederkommen.

Door de beschrijving, begane grond, heb ik het huisje gehuurd. De verhuurders wonen op het terrein, en ging ik er vanuit dat ze ergens op het terrein een huis hadden. Maar ze woonde boven mijn appartement en moesten steeds langs lopen. Ook hun hond rende regelmatig los rond op het gras voor mijn appartement. Hun kinderen voetbalde zowat voor mijn piep kleine terrasje. Om van de slaapkamer naar de toilet te gaan moet je trapjes af. De vloer is zeer onregelmatig met uitsteeksels. Weinig privacy.
