About this house rental
Renovated in 2006 from the scratch, the former 'maso' (summer house used for farming) has won an architectural award. The property is located approx. 900m above sea level by the woods with the view of 2300m tall chain of mountains Ortigara. 8000 m2 huge private meadows. Fully furnished new living area 100sq.m on two storey plus gallery. Large living room with kitchen (35 sq.m) in the ground floor with fitted kitchen, gas stove, dishwasher. Separate store room with washing machine and two bathrooms. Upstairs there is a living room (35 sq.m) with double sleeping couch and bedroom (15 m2). Gallery under the roof with additional double bed. Large terrace with constructed grill. Electric hot water, heater with kitchen stove that burns with wood, a modern wooden oven with viewing panel and an open fireplace. Access along an 800m forest road (no snow clearance). You can reach the village in 10 minutes by walk through a steep forest trail. No television.

We spent a week in the house, Ont he middle of nowhere . I recommend it if you want a break in a quiet and nice place.

We had a lovely week in this comfortable house. The surrounding is beautiful and peaceful. Because it is situated at the end of the driveway, halfway on the mountain, only some bikers and hikers go past this house. Perfect for our dog. The beautiful garden with lots of wild flowers is not fenced off, but on a long line she could roam around.
With only the 2 of us and the dog, we had lots of room in the house. But with more people of would have been spacious enough too. All week it was 30+ degrees, but the house stayed cool. You might need some spray against the mosquitoes because of the rain and the warmth of the last weeks, they were ever present. (with me at least, with my husband not so much ;-)
Without wifi and TV (but with good 4G) is was a quiet week where we could unwind. Just what we needed.
The welcome, in our case by the sister of the owner, was warm. All contact with owners is pleasant.

We had wonderful holidays in such a beautiful place, so quietly situated - pure nature!
The maso has been beautifully renovated. It is spacious and clean. It was a perfect vacation for us and our dog - we will definitely be back.
