About this house rental
Two-family house on 3 levels (first floor, 1st and 2nd floor) in an ancient renovated stone building. The house is located in a village in the countryside in Valle di Compito at the foot of hills with woods near Lucca. View of the woods and the countryside of the valley. A secondary road with only moderate traffic runs nearby. The property has a fenced area, a parking lot for cars and an automatic entrance gate. Behind the house there is an outdoor area with table, chairs, parasol and barbecue for outdoor dining; next door, separated by a small private road, a fenced equipped garden (300m2- table, chairs, sun lounger, deckchairs) with trees and lighted pool (8.5x3.5). Outside there is a small outbuilding, a second kitchen, where there is also a pizza oven and the washing machine. Possibility of visiting an archaeological site with ancient Romanesque farmhouses nearby and also parachuting and fishing in the area. Crib and high chair included in the rental price. Distances: Lucca 7km, Pisa 32km, Florence 65km, restaurant 0.2km, stores of all kinds and tennis 2km, riding school 5km, beaches 37km.

Summary of reviewsBeautiful house for a trip with two families, well-equipped with all necessary comforts. Quiet location near the center of Lucca, roads, COOP supermarket. Very friendly and helpful owner. Some initial electrical issues were quickly resolved by the owner.

Zeer mooi huis voor een reis met twee gezinnen. Goed uitgerust van alle nodige comfort. Mooie rustige locatie en niet ver van centrum Lucca, verbindingswegen, COOP supermarkt, etc. De eigenaar Andrea is zeer vriendelijk en behulpzaam, spreekt enkel Italiaans, verstaat slecht Engels, doch we konden ons behelpen in het Italiaans.
Enkele bedenkingen :
In het begin enkele electriciteitspannes gehad in de tuin, de eigenaar kwam na een telefoon ter plaatse die het probleem oploste (op een niet zo professionele manier) en te kennen gaf dat er elektriciteitsproblemen waren (ook bij vorige huurders) ? Het elektriciteitsverbruik bij de afrekeningen leek ons ook abnormaal hoog ?!
Het adres betreft één huisnummer met twee gelijkaardige halfopen woningen. De buurvrouw -en man blijken familie te zijn van de eigenaar. Dit koppel is zeer luidruchtig, vooral bij het regelmatig ruzie maken, initieel kan er even mee gelachen worden, na verloop zeer storend. De buurvrouw zelf is zeer bemoeizuchtig en 'dirigeerde' ons frequent wat we niet en wel moesten doen terwijl wij toch de normale huisregels toepasten. In den beginne kon dit aangenomen worden als goed bedoeld doch later kwam dit heel gebiedend over. Een tweetal avonden werden wij door onbekende buurtbewoners ook 'gesust' omdat wij onder de luifel in de tuin zaten te lachen doch naar ons mening niet storend en zeker rekening houdende met de normale normen, enige onverdraagzaamheid van deze onbekende werd dan ook ervaren, uiteindelijk is het toch een vakantiewoning ?!
