In the vacation park Frankenau you will inhabit the "Knusperhaus Gretel". This comfortably and cozily furnished house offers you space for up to 6 people.
The large living and dining area is equipped with a modern pellet stove, cable TV and stereo. The large dining area invites you to delicious family meals and fun game evenings. The kitchen is fully equipped with dishwasher and microwave. Kitchen and dish towels incl. tabs are also available.
The two upper bedrooms have their own washing facilities. The lower bedroom also has its own toilet. The house is heated with a modern infrared heating and a new pellet stove (since January 2020). CO² alarm and CO alarm are available. Pellets can be purchased from the owner.
The Knusperhaus Gretel has a south-facing balcony and a garden with sun terrace, equipped with garden furniture to relax in the fresh air.
In the National Park Kellerwald attract many hiking trails, the new Kellerwalduhr and the Arche-Hof. The Edersee attracts with water sports, a wildlife park, climbing park for adventurous people, treetop walk, summer bike track and much more. Towering above Lake Eder is Waldeck Castle, a medieval gem that has given its name to the entire tourist region. Also explore the home of the Brothers Grimm, because we are close to the German Fairy Tale Road with Little Red Riding Hood, Snow White's Village, etc.
Horseback riding enthusiasts can take riding lessons in the immediate vicinity of the park, rent a covered wagon tour and, if necessary, stable their own horse to spend a vacation together in Hesse. Anglers also get their money's worth in the region. You should also not miss a visit to the romantic half-timbered towns in the area, such as Frankenberg, Korbach or Bad Wildungen and Marburg. There you will find tranquil corners, as well as cultural offerings and attractive shopping opportunities.
