Very cosy , comfertable and well-equipped first floor apartment with free on-street parking in the quiet and up-market Trinity district. Well located within walking distance of city center or alternately with excellent bus connection around the corner. Very close to the botaninic gardens and the coast just to the north of the cty center. Should you be interested in combining with the Highlands the owner offers 2 spectacular highland properties in a restored abbey directly on the banks of Loch Ness : Obj Number 500965

This was an great location for us. The 23 bus stop was one block up from Darnell St so we had easy access to the train station and the Royal Mile and anywhere else we needed to go. The flat is in a nice residential area near a Sainsbury’s and parks. Also The Herringbone restaurant which was a great place to go for a meal, brunch, or just a cocktail.

We rented this flat with a party of five for our winter holidays from 27 December 2009 to 2 January 2010 and enjoyed our stay immensely. The flat was even more spacious than it had appeared to us from the photographs, and everything was clean and in perfect working order. The flat is also very comfortable, especially the living room, so we felt immediately at home.
The owner had left a binder with a number of instructions and tips (nearest supermarket, restaurants, etc.) on the coffee table, which we found very useful (try the scones at the muffin shop and the croissants at the nearest cornershop).
The property is in a good residential area and we felt very safe at all times of day and night. A brisk walk takes you to the waterfront or into town, but there is also a number of buses within a couple of minutes' walking distance that take you wherever you want to go in Edinburgh. Edinburgh itself with its multitude of sights needs no recommendation, of course, but Glasgow (for shopping and sightseeing) and Stirling (especially Stirling Castle) are also well worth a visit. One thing to bear in mind when planning your trip is that the flat does not have broadband, but if you want to use the Internet you can always go to an Internet cafe or a wifi hotspot.
The owner of the flat was at all times extremely helpful, friendly and quick to reply to any queries. Dealing with her was remarkably easy and straightforward. I thoroughly recommend this flat and indeed look forward to returning there myself at some point - hopefully sooner rather than later!
