About this chalet rental
The chalet is ideally located in the immediate vicinity of Chatel (1 km) and the ski slopes of Chatel (5 min), La Chapelle d Abondance (3 min) and Pré La Joux (15 min) by car.
Built in the 19th century, this chalet has retained all the charm of the old mountain chalets.
The present rent concerns only the 1st level of the chalet, we do not rent the 2nd level of the chalet, you will be thus alone in the chalet during your stay. capacity: 10 adults + 4 children: 14 in total + An additional extra bed available in one of the two parental rooms.
The 1st level of the partially renovated cottage includes:
- 1 master bedroom with shower room (sink, shower and toilet)
- 1 double bedroom + an extra bed with bathroom (washbasin, shower and toilet)
- 3 double bedrooms
- 3 bathrooms (1 with showers and washbasin, 1 with sink, bath, shower and toilet and 1 with sink, shower and toilet)
- A dormitory for children with 2 bunk beds (4 places).
- a large family kitchen
- The terrace, with an area of about 100 m², overlooks the land (about 3000 m²), and offers an unobstructed view of the Mont de Grange and the teeth of the midi
- The living / dining room with its large library
- A large play area (including baby foot and TV area)
- A garage space and parking for cars (up to 5 cars)
- a specific area for storing skis.
This chalet is an ideal compromise for large families wishing to enjoy at the same time the calm of the mountain and the proximity of the slopes, all in a warm and authentic.

We had a lovely week staying at this very charming chalet. Slightly quirky but that all added to the charm. More than enough room (and rooms and bathrooms) for everyone, lovely and warm, roaring log fire. A home from home ideal for a family holiday.

Très beau chalet, typique et très spacieux, tout en étant (partiellement) rénové.
En revanche le jardin est inutilisable, voire dangereux car en chantier, il n’y a pas de mobilier d’extérieur, les espaces extérieurs sont en fait bien trop rustiques pour l’été. Parfait pour l’hiver en revanche.
