On the crest of the Ostergebirge, directly on the border with Bohemia, between Dresden and Prague, you will find Zinnwald - Georgenfeld, part of Altenberg.
We have completely renovated our house in 2012, so that we can offer a modern, comfortable and spacious holiday home for up to 8 persons up to 125 m² of living space, but which has not lost the charm of a typical Erzgebirgshaus. The living space is separated into 2 living areas.
The indicated rental price refers to the entire house, but only the large living area with 85 m², 1 x shower / WC, 2 bedrooms with 2 beds or a double bed, extra beds on 2 storage mattresses are still possible.
The living area is located on the upper floors. Protective grilles are available for the stairs.
Here in the village (about 300 m) you will find a very well-stocked village shop for the basic supply with all what is important (eg fresh bakery rolls in the morning and .....) and a very praised butcher. (Edeka, Netto .... can be found in the main town of Altenberg)
In Zinnwald you can find several restaurants, which can be reached on foot.
The ridge region (between 800 - 900 m altitude) belongs traditionally to the summer freshness of the Saxonian cities. Here one can withdraw from the usual hustle and bustle, to rest and to relax. In the summer you have a place to escape the glowing stoves of the big cities. Here you can recover in the summer due to the more pleasant temperatures and has plenty of space for a variety of activities, depending on the wishes and needs.
For hikes or bike rides in the middle mountain landscape from "easy to heavy".
Either always along the ridge of the Erzgebirge or you use the approx. 700 m high difference to the Bohemian basin for more ambitious tours.
Bold can beat the Altenberger Bob and runners' track in the guest bob or you may like a few numbers smaller and try the summer toboggan run in the village.
If you want to improve your handicap in the golf course or all those who want to try golf, there is a golf course in Böhmisch Zinnwald.
There are several possibilities for bathing guests to chill free in natural baths to cool and relax.
The former mining region with a history of more than 600 years provides insights into this past (under and over days) through two museums. Many different museums, castles, monasteries and parks invite you to visit the border.
In the beautiful Müglitztal you can find the clock town Glashütte with its famous watchmakers and the German watch museum.
The two provincial capital cities of Dresden and Prague also offer excursion destinations for an individual or guided day trip.
In winter there are of course very good conditions for Nordic and alpine skiers. You will then be in the middle of the cross-country ski area and you can start your ski tours from the front door and end again here. 3 ski lifts can be found in the surrounding area. For snowshoe hikers the highlands are particularly ideal.
To our house you have on our approx. 3000 m² meadow plot lots of space to play, to the rage or just to switch off. Here you can test your balance on our Slackline or you can simply put yourself in the sun and "do nothing".
You will end the evening at the camp fire.

Wir können gar nicht alles beschreiben. Das Haus ist hervorragend ausgestattet. Wir haben nichts vermisst, denn es geht auch mal eine bestimmte Zeit ohne WLAN. Die Kommunikation mit dem Vermieter war perfekt und unkompliziert.
Wir kommen bei Gelegenheit gerne wieder.

Die Gastgeber sind sehr freundlich und hilfsbereit. Die Kommunikation und Schlüsselübergabe perfekt. Einkaufen Mo bis Sa zu Fuß direkt um die Ecke. Toller Ausblick aus dem Dachgeschoß. Wohnbereich sehr großzügig und gemütlich ausgelegt.

Wir haben uns in unserem Urlaub in Zinnwald pudelwohl gefühlt. Es hat uns und unseren Kindern an nichts gefehlt. Der Vermieter war stets sehr freundlich und hilfsbereit. Das Haus ist liebevoll und hochwertig eingerichtet. Die Küche ist ausgestattet mit allem, was man zum Kochen braucht. Die Lage des Hauses ist sehr ruhig und die Umgebung einfach traumhaft. Der Garten ist gepflegt und bietet genug Platz zum Spielen, essen, grillen etc. Extrem praktisch ist, dass ein kleiner Supermarkt gleich in der Nähe ist und man schnell mal hinlaufen kann, wenn man noch etwas benötigt. Dort werden u.a. Brot, Gebäck und Brötchen von einem Handwerksbäcker verkauft, was uns (2 Erwachsene und 2 Kinder) sehr gut schmeckte. Gegenüber vom Supermarkt gibt es auch noch einen Fleischer, den wir auch empfehlen können. Alles in allem war es ein wunderbarer Urlaub und wir möchten nächstes Jahr sehr gerne wiederkommen! :-)
