About this house rental
Far away from stress and yet at the center is this gem from the 17th century. Century in a historic ensemble with romantic cortile (courtyard).
The famous Centovalli train is within walking distance in 5 minutes. A coop and a very good bakery, two grottos, an osteria, a pizzeria, post office, bank and the well-known Teatro Dimitri are in the immediate vicinity.
the Ticino style this Rusticos Renovated Loving and being gentle fully preserved. A shady seat in Cortile and another sun space on the balcony invite you to stay and not only for you to breakfast. Here you can also wonderfully end the day after a hike in the woods, a refreshing dip in the Melezza or a visit to Ascona and Locarno with a Boccalino Merlot and a Formaggino.
In autumn and winter it is wonderfully cozy in front of one of the two fireplaces with wood fire and a book from the large bookshelf.
Through the entrance to the Cortile you come into the kitchen with kitchenette, an extendable dining table, terracotta floors with underfloor heating and an open fireplace. Here is after a guest toilet with shower and washing machine.
On the first floor with a sunny balcony, there is another room with a wood stove, which quickly spreads a cozy warmth to the roof (and should it rain: TV and Wi-Fi is of course also available). A sofa bed, bookshelf with maps and hiking guides in the area to northern Italy, a small desk and the bright floorboards complete the cozy ambience.
From here you come via another staircase to the attic with the open bathroom with bath, toilet and the bedroom with double bed. You sleep under a fully insulated roof of traditional granite. The open roof beams and the floor boards have a very special charm.

Well equipped kitchen. Nice quiet location.
The house is filled with many very personal items that the owner has dearly collected over many years. Quaint, but after a few days we personally felt like I we were intruding upon another’s space.
I would recommend this rental. It is truly unique.

Sehr sorgfältig renoviertes und liebevoll eingerichtetes Rustico im Zentrum von Verscio. Nachts sehr ruhig. Einkaufsmöglichkeiten und öffentlicher Verkehr in Fussdistanz.
Gute Grotto`s und Restaurant im Dorf.
