About this house rental
This magnificent historic villa is located in San Lorenzello, in the province of Benevento. It is a charming vacation home with pool near Cerreto Sannita. The decor is tasteful with antique furniture. The outdoor area, the pool table and the table football game are ideal to spend relaxing vacations with family and friends. In the outdoor area, surrounded by lawn, there is also an oval pool (depth 1.5 m) with underwater massage corner. San Lorenzello is famous for its pottery and its antique market, which is always held on the last weekend of the month throughout the year. In the characteristic workshops in the little streets of the old town, exhibitors offer furniture, artistic ceramics, antiquarian artifacts and local products. Guests can admire impressive testimonies of the past. The high Monte Erbano (1386m above sea level) dominates the old town of San Lorenzello, (the mountain is so named because of the medicinal herbs that grow there), from where you can enjoy a breathtaking panoramic view of the valley. The thermal baths of Telese are about 10 km away. In five minutes by car along the Via Regia on the banks of the Titerno River, you will find the Parco Sebastiano with its "City of Dinosaurs", an educational park with fifteen dinosaurs. an educational park with fifteen 1:1 scale dinosaur reconstructions in suggestive surroundings. In about an hour by car you can reach the beautiful city of Napoli. Furthermore, in 50 minutes by car (about 47 km) you can reach the famous Royal Palace of Caserta or the Sanctuary of Padre Pio in Pietrelcina. In about 90 minutes by car you can reach the world famous archaeological site of Pompeii. Those who want to enjoy a swim in the beautiful sea of the Sorrento Peninsula can reach Vico Equense in 1.40 hours. Cerreto Sannita 2 km.

My family had the pleasure of staying in this marvelous historic villa for a week. We were warmly greeted by our wonderful hosts, Danila and Filippo. They showed us around and explained how everything worked. The house itself is grand, the photos do not capture how big it is and you can feel the history while still having the comforts of modern living. The house is set back from the road and surrounded by grapevines and olive trees. The only sound you will hear is the birds and the wind and the rain. It was so peaceful to sit out on the balcony and take in the panoramic views of the surrounding valleys. It was only a short walk to both San Lorenzello and Cerreto. A truly remarkable experience for anyone looking to get away from the bustle of the city.

Wir waren eine Woche zu dritt in der Villa Gagliardi in San Lorenzello. Wir bevorzugen ruhige Orte, gerne am Rand von Naturparks gelegen, aber auch nicht weit, von Sehenswürdigkeiten und Städten entfernt. All das erfüllt die Villa perfekt. Hinter ihr beginnen die Berge und man kann sehr schnell in die Wandergebiete um den Lago Matese kommen. Vor ihr erstreckt sich die Ebene Kampaniens und uns hat besonders Caserta und Benevento gefallen. Auch die Umgebung von San Lorenzello ist wunderschön und kein bisschen touristisch.
Das Haus selbst ist überwältigend. Es stammt aus dem 18. Jahrhundert, beherbergt viele alte Möbel und Bücher, wurde aber auf den neuesten Stand gebracht. Bäder, Küche, Pool, Heizung, TV, WIFI – alles sehr modern. Manchmal sind wir einfach geblieben und haben das schöne Haus und die unmittelbare Umgebung genossen. Hier blühen noch unterschiedlichste Blumen, man sieht Vögel, die es in Deutschland nicht mehr gibt und es herrscht eine wunderbare Ruhe. Dieses Haus hat alles übertroffen, was wir erwartet hatten und es verdient zurecht 5 Sterne. Dank an Danila und Timoreo für die gute Betreuung.
