About this house rental
Just 6 km above Pratovecchio, at an altitude of 750 m, surrounded by the vast forests of the Casentino Natural Park, lies this rustic vacation home on the edge of the medieval Borgo Valagnesi. Kitchen and living area with terrace seating are on the first floor, six comfortable bedrooms with 5 bathrooms are above, with separate ground level entrances from the mountain side. On the property you will find a small pool, covered seating, children's games and a barbecue. Wi-Fi internet access on the ground floor. The owner will be happy to serve you local specialties in a taverna located below upon request. The place is ideal both for relaxing and for sports activities: For trekking and mountain biking through the forests of the Casentino Natural Park with its medieval castles and monasteries; the monastery of Camaldoli, just 9 km above in the mountains, is particularly charming. In Pratovecchio, 6 km away, you can get everything for daily use, plus bike rental, horseback riding, train connection to Arezzo. In Stia there is an aqua park in the still young Arno (9 km), where swimming is particularly fun. Both Arezzo (45 km) and Florence (55 km) are easy to reach from here.

Cette très calme location est idéale pour les randonneurs,.. que nous ne sommes pas. Placée au bord d'un parc national (réserve naturelle), nous avons pu apprécier la compagnie de biches, daim, cerfs (entendus bramer mais pas vus) et même d'un renard (pas craintif du tout!). Super.
Les proprios sont très agréables et disponibles (Merci pour les légumes et les confitures!). La location, un peu vieillotte (mais est-ce important?) est bien équipée, les chambres, avec pratiquement chacune sa salle de bain,
sont belles et propres.
Le seul problème, pour nous, à été la distance aux villes touristiques (Florence à 45km, mais 1h15...). Mais c'est de notre faute: personne parmi les 8 n'avait remarqué que la location se situait en altitude (plus de 500m)...
