About this apartment rental
The "Ostseenest Fehmarn" (Baltic Nest) is in a prime location directly on the sandy south beach of Fehmarn. In about 1 minute walking distance you can reach the beach promenade, thanks to the elevator in the house nearly barrier free. On the beach you will find your own "Strandkorb" (beach chair), playgrounds, toilets / showers / baby changing room, baywatch monitoring and restaurants. The year-round open adventure swim bath "FehMare" with wave operation, children's and sauna area is within walking distance too, as well as bakery or laundromat and self-service market in the marina.
One of the best surfing areas in Germany - the "Burg Lake" - with surf school and rental station of the famous Charchulla twins is right in front of the house.
The apartment is flooded with light and well equipped for up to 4 people + baby. Extensive equipment for small children, the latest technology from smart TV to Nespresso machine and good beds are a matter of course for us.
KITCHEN
with dishwasher, refrigerator with freezer compartment, microwave with steam function, espresso machine (Nespresso), milk frother, filter coffee machine, 2-zone ceramic hob, toaster, kettle and lots of odds and ends. Two further mobile ceramic hobs are located in the cabinet and can be added if necessary.
BATH
with bathtub and wonderful rain shower, towel radiator and hairdryer (the bathroom was completely renewed in December 2020).
LIVING ROOM
with 50 inch smart TV with internet connection, DVD / BluRay player, hi-fi system with bluetooth, own fast internet via WiFi (up to 50 MBps without volume limit), telephone for calls to German landlines, spacious new couch, easy chair with Stool for relaxed reading and dozing, dining table with four chairs. In the evening, you can easily fold the comfortable double bed (160 x 200 cm) out of the closet and transform the living room into a second bedroom. In the morning, the bed and bedding are simply folded up again and, when closed, ventilates via integrated ventilation openings.
BEDROOM
with a large bunk bed (90 x 200 cm, approved and comfortable also for adults), spacious closet and enough space to park a stroller and a travel cot.
FOR CHILDREN
In the closet you will find a travel cot (60 x 120 cm) including a mattress and mattress protector and a high chair free of charge. A potty and toilet seat as well as enough children's cutlery and plates are of course also part of our service. All you have to do is bring your own sheets and bedding for your toddler.
WINDOWS WITH "NATURAL CINEMA"
From all windows you have a wonderful view far over the "Burg Lake" with its marina to the church St. Nikolai in the island capital Burg, which is illuminated at night. Thanks to the horizontally opening panorama window, you can sit in the living room in the fresh air, practically like on a balcony - well protected from the seagulls. There are blackout blinds on all windows.
BEACH CHAIR
The apartment has its own beach chair on the beach section in front of the house, which you can use at least from May 15th to September 15th - depending on the weather, earlier or even longer. The basket is lockable and is located in the reception area of the public WiFi of the municipality of Fehmarn.
RENTAL LINEN BOOKABLE
If you want to travel with little luggage, you can book made beds and towel sets with us, for example, sauna towels and bathrobes. Please do not hesitate to contact us!
PITCHES
A car parking lot belonging to the apartment is available free of charge, further parking spaces in the area for a fee. Bicycle stand at the house. Small bike room in the house.
CHARGING COLUMN FOR ELECTRIC CARS
In the marina in front of the house there is also the possibility to recharge your electric vehicle. You can see the charging station at the red harbor master building very well from the living room window.
MONUMENT PROTECTION
The "Ostseenest Fehmarn" (baltic Nest) belongs to the settlement designed by Arne Jacobsen, which was placed under monument protection in 2015. The entire area is the work of the famous architect and designer. Information material about Arne Jacobsen and modern architecture is available in the apartment - but you can also just spend a nice holiday with us ... ;-)
ALLERGY FRIENDLY
Smoking and pets are not allowed. All materials are allergy friendly.
SWIMMING POOL AND LAUNDRY
The "FehMare" adventure swim bath, which is open all year round, and the marina laundrette with washing machines and dryers are within walking distance of the apartment. Use of the swimming pool and laundromat is not included in the rent.
WIRELESS INTERNET ACCESS
In addition to your own, fast WiFi in the apartment, you can also surf the Internet in a beach chair by logging into the community's public WiFi with your spa card number.

Wir waren über Silvester im Ostseenest und es hat uns sehr sehr gut gefallen. Der Blick allein auf den Yachthafen....herrlich! Fehmarn hat viel investiert, die Yachthafenanlage ist sehr schön gestaltet, es gibt sehr viele liebevoll umgesetzte Spielplätze, ein Aussichtsturm für einen Rundumblick, ein ausgedienter Rettungskreuzer für jede Menge Spaß und Platz für Fantasie, ein schöne Promenade und die Ostsee ganz nah. Gegenüber im Hafen von Burgstaaken gibt es frisch gefangenen Fisch und ein U-Bootmuseum. Trotz viel Regen gab es immer was zu erkunden - auch für Kinder gibt es selbst in der Nebensaison Aktivitäten, wie zum Beispiel Stockbrot am Lagerfeuer oder Fackel-Strandlauf. Langeweile gibt es hier nicht. Sehr gern kommen wir wieder 🥰!

Wir haben uns in der Wohnung sehr wohl gefühlt. Der Blick auf den Yachthafen und die direkte Nähe zum Strand sind besonders hervorzuheben.

Die Wohnung an sich war sehr klein (kein Flur, man stand direkt in der Küche), aber funktional. Die wichtigsten Sachen für den täglichen Bedarf waren sogar vorhanden(Klopapier, Gewürze, Putzutensilien, sogar Bücher und Spiele). Der Blick auf den Hafen war wirklich wunderschön, die Wohnung ist direkt am Strand, wichtige Einkaufsmöglichkeiten und Restaurants sind zu Fuß gut erreichbar. Die Wohnung war sehr ruhig.
Zwei Punkte haben wir jedoch zu bemängeln: die Wohnung war nicht verdreckt aber auch nicht so sauber wie erwartet(Essensreste im Waschbecken der Küche, Flecken am Kühlschrank und den Kacheln in der Küche, Handtuchhalter im Bad waren sehr staubig). Wir haben es gleich am ersten Tag dem Verwalter gesagt, er meinte, das solle nicht so sein, hat aber nichts weiter unternommen.
Der zweite Punkt war die Anreise, wir kamen um 17:10 an(Anreise laut Internet zwischen 16-18 Uhr möglich). Gegen 16:00 wurden wir vom Verwalter angerufen, dass er nicht da sei, wenn wir kommen, der Schlüssel sei versteckt hinterlegt(die Öffnungszeiten aus der Email stimmen nicht mit den Vorort ausgehängten Öffnungszeiten überein.) Das hat uns nicht so gut gefallen, da wir am Anreisetag keinen Ansprechpartner für Rückfragen hatten.
Die Kommunikation mit den Vermietern, Familie Schwan war tadellos und schnell.

Wir waren mit der Unterkunft sehr zufrieden. Die Kommunikation mit dem Vermieter sowie der Agentur war informativ und unkompliziert.
