About this farm stay rental

This ancient watermill was built in 1717 by the earl of Waldeck and is solitary situated amidst the gorgeous nature-reservation of the Wattertal. Every room is beautiful renovated with antique furniture. The watermill is a cultural memorial and has won a few awards for the caring renovation.

Wir haben mit 10 Personen ein schönes Wochenende den historischen Räumen und auf dem großen Gelände der alten Mühle verbracht. Es ist alles da was benötigt wird um eine Selbstversorgung zu gewährleisten und allen Altersgruppen genug Abwechslung zu bieten. Frau Nasemann hat uns freundlichst empfangen und eingewiesen, vielen Dank dafür. Die Zimmer waren warm und groß, teilweise mit eigenem Bad. Der Essraum kann man mit einem Kamin gemütlich eingeheizt werden. Wir konnten leider nicht auf dem Hof sitzen, da es noch zu kalt gewesen ist. Aufgrund der abgeschiedenen Lage ist das Gelände für Gruppen die sich selbst organisieren möchten perfekt, da man niemanden stören kann.

Laut Inserat hatten wir die gesamte Mühle für einen recht stolzen Preis gemietet. Leider stellte sich heraus, dass wir nicht alleine waren, sondern das Dachgeschoss - bei gleichem Eingang - langfristig vermietet war, d.h. wir mussten uns das Treppenhaus teilen und deshalb alle Zimmer abschließen. Außerdem war der große Veranstaltungsraum nicht zugänglich, so dass uns bei nicht optimalem Wetter leider nicht so viel Platz (2 kleine Kinder mit Bewegungsdrang) wie erwartet zur Verfügung stand. Die Küche war super ausgestattet bis auf den Backofen, den man suchen musste. Er befand sich im Heizungsraum weit von der Küche entfernt, war uralt und viel zu klein!
