About this house rental
Spend your holiday in the Zirmach hut, which is suitable for 2 - 6 people. The lovingly furnished cottage is comfortably furnished on 2 floors on 100 sqm and has 5 rooms, kitchen and 2 bathrooms: It has a living room with comfortable sofa, wing chair, pellet stove and balcony.
There are 2 TVs in the house. In the living room is a new 40 "Flat 4K UHD TV with HDMI, Wi-Fi, LAN, Bluetooth and USB. Furthermore, a stereo system is integrated in the living room with Bluetooth, USB, CD player, FM radio and DAB +.
The dining room with corner bench and display cabinet invites you to an extended breakfast. The fitted kitchen is fully equipped and contains all common household appliances, electric stove, oven, fridge freezer, dishwasher and microwave.
The 3 bedrooms are equipped with 1x double bed, 1x bunk bed, 1 x 2 single beds. The bedroom has a second HDMI TV. The children's room has a stereo system with CD player and radio.
On each floor there is a bathroom with shower / WC, Bath tub / WC. Washing machine and dryer are available. Bed linen and towels are to be brought along. Pets allowed on request- payable! Relax in the integrated sauna after a day of skiing or hiking. The car access is all year round. Snow chains are required in winter. In the summer an ideal starting point to all Carinthian lakes.
In winter: 2 ski lifts and 1 baby lift approx. 500 m away to reach a height of 2300 m. The family-friendly slopes offer all difficulty levels and are not overrun. Even at Christmas time, there are hardly any waiting times at the lifts. A ski school offers ski kindergarten, ski and snowboard classes. A cross-country ski run is just as lacking as the illuminated toboggan run. The torch relay of the ski instructors and the floodlit skiing is always a special highlight. Ice skating and curling can be wonderful on the frozen Falkertsee. The Heidialm mountain resort on the Falkert is also the ideal starting point for ski tourers and winter hikers in the Carinthian Nockberge.
In the summer: hiking tours through the unique alpine flora of the Nockberge will inspire you. With specially used hiking busses (stop in the immediate vicinity) you can easily reach other hiking areas.
The Falkertsee lake is only 500 meters away and offers fishing and water sports, but it is less pleasant for bathing (18 degrees).
For bathing facilities Falkertsee is the ideal starting point (30 - 45 min.) To many lakes (Milstätter, Ossiacher, Afritzer, Wörthersee), or to the thermal baths to Bad Kleinkirchheim. (10 min.)
The children's entertainment park 'Heidi Alm' always gives enthusiasm to all children.
Even the challenging Falkensteig via ferrata, the climbing wall at the Heidi-Hotel and running with the 7-mile boots will bring fun for all ages.
Golf: In Bad Kleinkirchheim / Patergassen you will find the golf course Kaiserburg with its very good 18-hole course. There is also a large practice area for beginners and advanced as well as a good restaurant with sun terrace.

We were visiting the hut December 2023 and we enjoyed the stay a lot! It is equiped with anything you might need for short or long stay. Communication with Cordula was always very fast and all questions were answered immedetially. Falkert ski park is accessible via walking distance, there are few nice restaurants around.
Considering that hut is in the mountains , please carefully check the weather before arriving and be prepared to put chains on the tires as during heavy snow it is only way to go all the way up! But even after very heavy snow, next day road was cleaned and regular winter tires are ok. Highly recommended !
