Welcome to our charming gîte in the heart of the Pays d'Auge, Normandy
Easily accessible from the main highways, you’ll enjoy being close to Deauville (40 minutes by car), Lisieux (25 minutes), many lovely small towns nearby (Livarot, Camembert...) and the D-Day Landing beaches.
Nestled in the Norman countryside, our gîte "Les Pâtis" offers an authentic and peaceful setting for family getaways, romantic weekends, holidays with friends, or seminars.
MINIMUM RENTAL: 1 NIGHT
The gîte "Les Chesnes" is a charming traditional Norman house with 2 bright bedrooms overlooking our small river.
The house includes:
On the ground floor:
A spacious living room with a dining area
A wood-burning stove to keep you warm on cooler evenings
A fully equipped kitchen with: refrigerator, gas stove, microwave, dishwasher, toaster.
The cupboards contain all the essentials for preparing and enjoying your meals.
A "L’Or" coffee machine is also at your disposal.
Upstairs:
1 bedroom with a double bed and a single bed, and a private bathroom with shower, toilet and vanity unit
1 bedroom with two single beds, also with its own bathroom (shower, toilet, and vanity unit)
A TV with access to Netflix, Prime Video, Disney Channel, and both French and English channels
Free Wi-Fi
Outdoors:
A private terrace with a view over the small river and a charcoal barbecue.
Parking is easy and available inside the property, close to your gîte.

👶 Children must always be supervised by an adult. Swimming is under the full responsibility of parents/guardians.

From early May to late October, enjoy a nature ride on a quad guided by an instructor.
Duration: 2 hours
Price: €120 per quad (1 or 2 people)

Gear provided: helmet, disposable liner, gloves
The ride takes you through forest paths, river crossings, and offers just the right dose of adventure in a safe and friendly setting.

4 of us stayed in Les Chenes gite, which is a 2 bed cottage with its own huge area of garden, outside pergola, and a gentle stream bubbling nearby. Surrounded by trees and grass and birds chirping in the trees, colourful dragonflies and butterflies this was an absolute Eden of peace and calm. We LOVED this place and Dorothee and her husband Gwen were very friendly attentive and just decent lovely people!
The clean pool and jacuzzi is actually warm. And the grounds so so pretty too. Plus the town of Vimoutiers with a good size Aldi and Carrefour was literally 4 mins drive away.
10/10 I can’t rate it highly enough.

Amazing property- great welcome, clean spacious property within lovely surroundings! Our granddaughter loved the heated swimming pool and hot tub ( as did we)! Dorothee and staff were very friendly and helpful! Will return!

Wonderful location to explore from, brilliant facilities - we spent hours playing tennis, swimming in the pool and taking the bikes out, fantastic hosts with a lovely dog too! Thank you!

The property itself was fantastic, it had a nice rustic feel to it and was surrounded by a woodland setting. The barbecue area was to the corner of the property with a large seating area (very private). The pool was very big and the jacuzzi easy to use. Inside the property the bedrooms were very comfortable and the living room space was large. All facilities were in good shape and the English TV a plus for the evenings! The host was lovely and the tour of the property area very explanatory. I have to say that it was very well situated to the local village and sights. Do not forget to visit the local museum Memorial de Montormel; small, but one of the best for information on the battle that turned the tide of World War 2.We would absolutely return to this property.
