About this farm stay rental
Loriais, Farmhouse and Gite,situated in Brittany on the borders of Pays de la Loire and Normandy. An ideal base to explore the beautiful countryside, beaches, chateaux ,forests and megaliths of this extra special part of France. Tranquil farmhouse gite lovingly restored, set in 20 acres with extensive access to glorious countryside, two bedrooms two bathrooms with additional double sofa bed. and folding bed, for children. Cot and high chair availabile. Log burner and underfloor heating making a cosy time in winter (by arrangement). Private heated salt water pool 10m x 5m with beach hut and barbeque. Several seating areas in lovely gardens. Cycling on designated tracks for miles. Glorious walking on signed routes straight out of the door. Fully equipped kitchen, range cooker, also electric cooker and hob plus microwave, washing machine and dishwasher, American style fridge freezer. Well stocked supermarket five minutes away with other large supermarkets fifteen minutes away. Other attractions. water park, riding, walking and cycling. Mont St Michel 40 mins, St Malo one hour, Honfleur and Deauville two hours. Normandy beaches and fabulous coastline of the Cote d'Emeraude easily accessed. Five minutes from the Foret de Fougéres and arboritum, five minutes from the medieval forest of Monthault. Weekly local farmers markets with a good selection of local produce during August, big traditional French market every Wednesday all year round 15 mins away. Pets not accepted. Please note bookings are only from Saturday to Saturday

A little piece of heaven created by an amazing couple in such a beautiful tranquil spot.Spacious accommodation with the most fantastic garden with a heated pool. The weather wasn't the best but we managed to visit all the lovely towns and attractions in the area. Thank you Barry - would love to come back with the family.

Gite had everything you would need - comfortable and well resourced. Barry was very helpful and approachable.Lovely villages to visit in the locality and a nice walk into town along the disused railway.

I would really like to say, please don't visit, because I don't want anyone to be there if I am able to go there. But that would be too mean because it is an extraordinary gite and Barry is a truly wonderful host. He told us that they run the gite to be like somewhere that they would love to stay themselves and it is every bit a place to love. The garden is magnificent and so pretty as you arrive at the gite. The swimming pool is clean and well tended. There are even two cookers in the kitchen. The showers are super luxurious. The area is lovely and there are so many places to visit and amenities close to hand. Don't Go. You will love it and I want it for myself.

Barry and Gail are the perfect hosts - warm, welcoming and always ready to help. The gite is spacious, comfortable and well-equipped, and the grounds are amazing! The super swimming pool sits in gorgeous landscaped gardens with the occasional visit from one of the friendly animals on site, so each day spent relaxing at the gite was such a pleasure.The local small town, Louvinge du Desert, has a decent supermarket and is just a short drive away. It is also within walking distance along part of a disused railway track, which itself is perfect for walks or cycling. There are plenty of places to visit in the locality: Fougeres was a particular favourite with its stunning views and magnificent castle in the medieval district. We also visited Mont St Michel (a bit touristy, but well worth seeing), Omaha Beach and Bayeux, all within comfortable reach.Overall this was a fantastic holiday for us, as two adult couples, so we are hoping to return in the future.
