'Casa Dario' is part of Fattoria Il Castellaccio, a family owned property extended on around 800 acres of oak and chestnut woods, fields and fruit-tree gardens. The farmhouse has been recently restored reviving its ancient beauty, particularly the floor, fireplace and hand-basin, all made of ancient local stone. Its hilltop location provides breathtaking views of both Arno and Tiber valleys while being in the middle of central Italy's natural and Renaissance treasures: Florence, Arezzo, Siena, Perugia; Urbino, Assisi are all within a day-trip. Foreste Casentinesi National Park, 40 mins away, is considered amongst the highest biodiversity sites in Europe. Ideal choice for families looking for healthy and safe surroundings as well as for walkers, thinkers and eaters. Anghiari area is one of the most traditional Tuscan gourmet destinations. Casa Dario enjoys an agreement with a nearby restaurant where good meals at special price are available for our guests. Guided tours for art and nature are available.

Nice and pleasant stay in this very old Italian stone house. The pool is always clean and well kept, and even at hot days the house does not get hot Inside. The neighbourhood is quite and the rooms are dark, so there are good chances for some real quality sleeping. A good base for daytrips, as you are in the middle of Tuscany. Lorenzo and his family are very helpful and nice people. The interior of the house is exactly as described and pictured

Everything was perfect! The accommodation and the location of the house were just great. Our landlord was always helpful and accommodating. He responded immediately to any questions we had and dealt with them promptly. The pool was always well maintained and a real treat. The view and the landscape are outstanding. We really enjoyed the peace and seclusion. We also used our accommodation as a base for many excursions to Florence, Siena, Anghiari, Pienza and Perugia. We would love to come back!

Our stay was absolutely calming and relaxing. The pool is heavenly, especially after a long days travel And great for sunbathing. We love that the villa was located in the countryside, Where it was quiet and peaceful and no hustle and bustle of urban traffic/people. However, We had fairly close access to several towns such as Arezzo, Florence, and Rome. We were very close to the old medieval town of Anghiari, where we had a delightful lunch At a local restaurant and visited Museums and old medieval churches. Our host Lorenzo and his family were Very helpful and made for a perfect stay at the villa. The villa is very safe and secure. It has a full kitchen and a washer and plenty of space to spread out. The night sky in the evening is absolutely beautiful.This is a must stay and visit destination place. We will definitely return next year!!!

Stayed for a week. Great welcome by Pier Francesco and Simonetta. A beautiful farmhouse with plenty of space inside and out. The view from the gardens are wonderful.Owing to the rural nature of the property, a hire car is an essential if you want to explore Tuscany I would say. The local town of Anghiari is lovely with lots of little trattoria. Would recommend to anyone looking to get away from it all! Would certainly stay again in the future if still available.
