About this villa rental
Villa Pergo is an ancient charming country villa dating back to the year 1640 and belonging to a olive oil producer. It is a large and spacious property and thanks to its thick walls it offers a good shelter from summer hot sun rays.
The villa has been recently restored (in June 2017) preserving all its original caracteristics. Because of a promise made by the owner to his parents, he has left untouched all the rooms included bedrooms and bathrooms layout. Although the villa offers all the modern comforts such as air conditioning throughout (except on ground floor particularly fresh in the summer), Wi-Fi internet interior and exterior, central heating.
The property is only 4 km from Cortona where you can find all the shops and 10 minutes drive from Lake Trasimeno and 30 minutes drive to Montepulciano,the town of the wine Nobile. The nearest grocery shop is only 1 km away but it is also possible to purchase olive oil, wine, fresh vegetables,eggs and chickens from the nearby farms.
ACCOMODATION: the villa is 350 square meters and can accommodate 11+1 persons in 6 bedrooms with 3 bathrooms. It extends on three levels:
Ground floor: On th ground floor you can find a small apartment with a small kitchen, double bedroom and baathroom with shower. The apartment is only accesed externally. It doesn't have air conditioning because it really fresh.
First floor: From the ground floor main entrance, a staircase leads to the upper floor. On this level there are 1 double bedroom, 1 bathroom with shower, fully equipped kitchen, dining room and a sitting room Luigi Filippo style.
Second floor: Another staircase leads to the second floor with 4 more bedrooms, 3 of which doubles and 1 with a french bed. Still on this floor one bathroom with shower and a second sitting room.
In a section of the villa live the owners who are animal lovers and own a dog german Shepard who is really lovely and meek. They are always available but invisible when not needed.
GARDEN & SWIMMING POOL: You access the property from a stone paved path and you reach the iron gate. Villa Pergo boasts a faboulous 7000 square meters fully fenced park with centuries old shading trees and cypress trees.
The villa offers a stunnning infinity pool (10x5 meters , 1.5 meters deep, open from 01 May to 30 September, access times 8:30 a.m. to 8 p.m.) fully fenced and with a gate for children safety. The pool is purified by a salt based system and it is surrounded by stone paths. In the level above the pool a solarium offers uncomparable views of the Valdichiana.
Small gym available for the guests use. In front of the villa the lawn is equipped with barbecue for outside dinners. Parking available at the property.

Price excludes (payable to the property): tourist tax: Euro 2 per person per night (for the first 4 days of stay, adults and children from 12 years); heating (if used): according to consumption.
Keys/Security deposit: Euro 500.00 in cash (It will be refunded on departure, provided that no damages were caused by the client).

The stay was wonderful! Massimiliano invited us into his home, but also his family history of the estate. The villa has the charm and personality that you want in a Tuscan Villa. The villa was really clean, including the pool which was cared for throughout the day. The host was helpful in ordering food and in making local reservations. He also provided some special Italian treats along the way! Thank you for a beautiful week!

Massimiliano was an excellent host. Always helping to find reservations& directions. Beds are very firm. Listing failed to mention there were 2 flights of concrete stairs to 4 of the bedrooms. Excellent pool for the family.

5 of us stayed at this lovely property and it was perfect. The property was clean and beautiful and our hosts were fantastic. They were available for any needs we might have and made us the most delicious Italian meal. We were so lucky to have stayed here. Couldn't recommend it more! Very close to the town and to many beautiful wineries. We were lucky to get a private tour of a winery and vineyard. We had a wonderful time!

Wir hatten eine wunderbare Zeit! Die Villa ist sehr schön und ruhig an einem Olivenhain gelegen. Ein Aussensitzplatz, sowie auch eine Wiese mit Grillplatz (und im Sommer ein Pool) laden zum Verweilen ein. Der Besitzer Massimiliano ist sehr gastfreundlich und gab uns wertvolle Empfehlungen bezüglich Restaurants, Windegustationen und vielen anderen Aktivitäten der Umgebung, sowie auch historische Informationen zu der Region. Die Villa ist ausserdem ideal gelegen für Ausflüge nach Arrezo, Siena, Florenz, Montepluciano etc.
Wir würden die Antica Villa degli Ulivi wärmstens weiterempfehlen und würden uns freuen in Zukunft weitere Urlaube dort zu verbringen.
