Villa Eleftherna is a superb rural hideaway set amid magnificent natural beauty, located in the picturesque village of Eleftherna in the Rethymno region. Tucked away on a quiet village lane, the villa is far more than a country cottage or a holiday home. Built on the highest point of the village, it offers breathtaking views of the Cretan Sea, Mount Psiloritis, and the surrounding landscape. Villa Eleftherna is just steps from the village square, where traditional taverns, cafes, and a mini-market can be found, as well as the village theatre.
Ground Floor:
-Open-plan living area with a cosy sitting room including two comfortable sofas, a 55" Smart TV with Netflix (villa account), a PlayStation 4, a Bluetooth speaker, and an open fireplace
-Fully equipped kitchen with dining table
-Direct access from the living room and kitchen to a spacious veranda with countryside views
-Steps leading down from the veranda to the pool and garden area
Two bedrooms:
-Bedroom 1: King-size bed (1.80 x 2.00)
-Bedroom 2: Two single beds (0.90 x 2.00), can be joined into a king-size bed
-Both bedrooms have direct access to the rear villa terrace with patio furniture and garden views
-Family bathroom with bathtub conveniently located between the two bedrooms

-Bedroom 1: Queen-size bed (1.60 x 2.00) with a loft
-Bedroom 2: Two single beds (0.90 x 2.00), can be joined into a king-size bed (1.80 x 2.00)
-Both bedrooms open to an expansive furnished veranda with panoramic views of the Cretan Sea and the surrounding countryside
-Additional family bathroom with a Jacuzzi bathtub
Outdoor Area:
-Private 40 m2 swimming pool with removable volleyball net. Pool can be heated for an additional daily charge with at least one weeks notice
-Equipped with sun beds, umbrellas, and an outdoor shower
-Fully equipped BBQ area with outdoor sink and wood oven, adjacent to shaded outdoor dining area
-Beautiful garden with flowers, shrubs, fruit trees, and lawn areas around the pool
-Hammock under the trees for relaxation
-Parking for 3 cars inside the villa premises
-4 mountain bikes and light hiking equipment provided
-Entire outdoor area fenced with private gate, ensuring 100% privacy
**Accommodation cost excludes Climate Resilience Tax. The amount for the accommodation type is set at EUR15 per night from April to October and EUR4 per night from November to March, payable upon check-in.

This villa is perfect! We were excited about our stay and the villa lived up to our expectations and more. The layout of the villa suited our needs perfectly, being 4 adults, there were plenty of areas to relax inside and outside the house. The facilities in the villa has everything you need abd more. We loved the location of the villa as we like to explore and thrte was so much to see abd do. We were met by our host's family Alexandros and Georgios and they were so kind, thoughtful and helpful throughout our stay....welcoming us with a wonderfully array of local delights which were delicious and very much appreciated after a long day of travelling and were on hand throughout our stay to make sure we had the best time. Communication with the host was excellent. We had a wonderful time and would highly recommend this villa for a holiday.

My girlfriend and I stayed here with a couple friends for two weeks and can say that this villa is absolutely amazing for the price. It’s huge, with beautiful views of the mountains and sea during the day as well as the stars at night. The host Alexandros and his family were very accommodating, we arrived to a welcoming tour of the property and a gift basket. There is a wonderful aroma of flowers in the morning from the garden. The barbecue pit was also stocked with coal and fire starter which was nice. Overall I would recommend this place to any small group or families looking to stay in Crete. It’s located in a peaceful village in the mountains and is a short drive to the lively city of Rethymno. Being in the center of the island it’s also no more than about a two hour drive at most to many scenic or notable places to visit. Renting a car though is a must.

We traveled as a group of six people and had a wonderful time at villa Elétherna! The house is clean and very well designed. We were amazed by the hospitalty - we were gifted fresh fruits, olive oil, honey and raki! The owner, Giorgos, came everyday to look after the villa and the pool, so we never had any issues. Thank you so much!
