About this villa rental
A large, bright, private room in a large family complex with independent access only two blocks from Playa la Ropa and surrounded by tropical vegetation. Private bathroom, balcony, air conditioning, ceiling fan, and direct access onto the home's lower terrace with Jacuzzi-type dipping pool, rocking chairs, and hammock. The room has two single beds that can easily joined into one king size bed, a small daybed for a third person, table and chairs, an in-room fridge, and it houses part of the family's book collection.
This private room is part of the main house, and guests have easy shared access to the terrace with dipping pool, common living space, and kitchen for light food prep. The family complex consists of four separate buildings in which other rooms and apartments are located, so we ask guests to coordinate kitchen use with others who may be present on the property.
The house is a short two-block walk from La Ropa Beach. Public transport and taxis pass by right in front of the house. There are several excellent restaurants within easy walking distance of the front door.
El Tamarindo at Casa Calamondin family complex winds up a slope from street level to. A pathway and a series of four exterior stairways wind up through the garden areas to access each of the modules above and behind the main house. Cozy comfort and low-key relaxation characterize the home.
Every room and apartment has independent access from the exterior. There is free WiFi in the room and on both terraces. Basic weekly housekeeping and change of linens are included.
For outdoor lounging, guests also have shared access to a rooftop palapa-thatched terrace that overlooks the tropical greenery of La Ropa and affords lovely sunrise and sunset views.
Please note that we only accept children 12 years and older.

Our room was large and nice, the air worked great, an adequate fridge, and they made room for my extras in the family kitchen fridge. The family kitchen is well supplied with all manner of cooking needs. The family is very welcoming, as is Felisa, the manager.
You are a short walk down to La Ropa beach. Walking to Madera beach by the road is about a km., and has a long uphill grade if that bothers you. At night past 7 pm you are taking a taxi, as walking isn't recommended, but taxis are cheap. Have fun!

Beautiful home environment, quiet and respectful guests. Great location. I would recommend it to fit couples (lots of stairs!) We enjoyed our stay.
