It is a fun experience to open the curtains and see the water at foot-level outside. We also had access to a kitchen stove and oven. There is also a washing machine present. Although it was broken when we were there, the host washed our clothes in their washing machine (as they are living next doors). Otherwise a cozy place for two couples to stay at.
Due to the cold the first keypad of the door to front "garden"/bridge did not work anymore. So, we were a stuck for a little bit outside. We could also park our bikes on that bridge as well. But if your bike does not have a kickstand, it is hard to find a place to put it, without it falling into the water.

I had always wanted to experience staying in a houseboat. At around €150 per night, the main thing I liked was the novelty of the experience itself. However, it feels more like a small, cosy apartment, and you don’t really feel that you are staying on a houseboat.In the morning, when you open the curtains, you can see ducks and swans swimming in the canal, which is quite pleasant. The nearest tram and bus stop are about 500 metres away. An important tip: there is a small bridge over the canal right next to the houseboat, which reduces the walking distance to around 200 metres. This is especially useful if you are carrying luggage.
It would have been better if a dishwasher had been available on the houseboat. Additionally, washing powder or liquid should be provided. Lastly, the utensils should be replaced, as they are somewhat dirty and quite old.

We liked the location very much. In the morning, waking up and looking out from the window directly to the water gives the feeling of being on a boat while enjoying the comfort of a house. It is truly amazing and feels self-healing. The place is also close to markets and transportation, which makes it very convenient. The atmosphere was calm and relaxing, and we enjoyed every moment there. We would love to visit this place again and highly recommend it to others
The only things we would mention are that the WiFi was sometimes unstable and slow, which could be a bit annoying. Also, gentle sounds from the water, ducks, or passing boats can be charming but may disturb light sleepers.
