Completely refurbished in 2022, Lakeview is situated in the quiet village of Hopton, this beautifully presented property offers stunning views from master ensuite bedroom, sitting room & terrace, accommodating comfortably 6 to 8 people, in 3 double luxury double bedrooms. The family room has a comfortable day bed and pull-out (suitable for adults and children extra charge)Super luxurious bathrooms, with lake views from the bath tub and underfloor heating. The views from the house are simply stunning offering an uninterrupted view of the water and rolling hills in the distance. The Cottage is set in the grounds of Hopton House and has been thoughtfully converted to provide superb facilities set in over an acre of delightful private gardens. A deluxe hard sided Hot tub can be hired in for your stay (extra cost please ask)

Guests are able to use the garden to relax, BBQ, and play. A Family friendly property offering gates which can be secured to provide a safe environment for children to play. Travel cots, highchairs and gates are available. The modern styling and elegant furnishings are evident throughout the accommodation, which features a spacious king-size ensuite bedroom with the most beautiful view over the lake from your bed. Spacious accommodation over 2000 Sq Ft, with a very comfortable 8 seater, leather sofa,Clearview, log burner and excellent cooking facilities. Fantastic walks, paddle boarding, sailing/Kayaking & cycle paths on the doorstep. Centrally located for Chatsworth House & petting Farm, Kedleston Hall, and Haddon Hall or if you fancy something a little more adventurous Alton Towers, Splash Landings and Go Ape are all a 15 minute car drive. Quad biking, paintballing and buggy driving are available 10 minutes away in Brailsford. The lake and the visitors centre offer Paddle boarding, Sailing, wind surfing, fishing & boating with great cafes, restaurants, bird watching and children's adventure play grounds. If that all sounds like too much effort the delightful market towns of Ashbourne, Bakewell and Matlock are within a few minutes, where you will find boutiques, antiques, restaurants, markets, and galleries. Our changeover days are Friday or Monday. Please ask about discounted 4 night midweek breaks in low season from Monday - Friday. A really lovely place to stay. Was spotless and the stay was very comfortable.The only thing that i can fault was there are hidden charges. I was asked to pay 50 per person for the additional 2 beds 2 days before we go. Charges like this should be included at time of booking not just before your holiday. Especially when the details on the invoice stated all fees had been paid.Also the hot tub cost is confusing to me, with all the extra charges considering its there all the time.

Clean and beautifully presented cottage in a fantastic area with stunning views.
Our family had a lovely stay and Pamela our host was efficient and welcoming. Would recommend for everyone. We had a great holiday.!

Property was lovely and clean with tasteful interior. Beds are comfortable and master bedroom in particular was huge with a lovely view. Local pub was great and in walking distance.We found the layout of the house to be odd, particularly the dinning table that is located in the entrance hallway with limited space around it. The window sills are low to the ground and easy for a child to climb onto. The windows open very wide, so we needed to keep the upstairs windows closed at all times as we have an active five year old who likes to climb. Not ideal in a heat wave!The hot tub shown in the photos IS NOT included with the property unless you book and pay extra for it. We missed this info as it's written right at the end of the property description. Making this clearer would help avoid disappointment for future guests. The garden swing that's shown in the photos is no longer there.
