Primary reason for our stay was to be a part of our grandaughter’s graduation from Ft Sam Houston. The location was absolutely perfect. The house itself is a time capsule of cherished vintage artwork and furnishings. It was a privilege to spend a few days in this family museum. We always felt safe in a secure neighborhood and were close enough to get a day in at the Witte Museum and the River Walk.

The Host was great in communication - clear, accurate, timely & proactive. The home is very clean, well equipped and stocked. The pictures and description are factually correct, but don’t convey that the home is very dated - worn / older furniture and decorated as it was in the 1950’s. Comfortable and clean, but my initial reaction was OMG, I’m in the way way back machine!!! :)

Casa de Adriel is a true gem. The home is full of warmth, charm, and personal history—it was built in 1950 by the owner’s parents, and you can feel the love in every detail. The artwork by the owner’s mother adds such a unique and meaningful touch throughout the house.We were in town to visit our oldest daughter, who is stationed at the nearby military base, and the location was incredibly convenient. It made our trip so much easier and more special.Thank you for sharing this beautiful home—it was peaceful, comfortable, and full of heart. We’d absolutely stay again.

The resident is a nice older family home. The home is full of family jewels. There are plenty of essentials in the house. The house was clean and it slept well. The house does not have adequate window curtains/shades, and this made me and my guest very uncomfortable and unsafe. In this day and time large windows and patio doors should not be left uncovered. There were 6 ladies in the house and we felt very unsafe. For this reason, this location will not be a re-vist for me.
