We have an independent house restored from an ancient stone grinder Which is situated in Castelvecchio di Rocca Barbena, a wonderful medieval village in the heart of Liguria dating back to the 11th century and 15 minutes by car from the Italian Riviera and the highway (exit: Albenga, 100 km from Nice Airport, 80 from Genoa Airport).
The typical stone houses of the historical center climb up on the mountain to reach the castle Which rises imposing and commanding on the Barbena Rock, 1142 meters high, from Which the village takes its name.
The residency, so called "Ca du maxin" ( "The miller's house"), unique to it: has two bedrooms, one bathroom, a kitchen with dining room, a large living room with fire place and two beautiful terraces. The house can host four people. "Ca du maxin" is situated in the historical center with an amazing view of the village and the surrounding mountains where the silence imposes its presence. The residency can not be Reached by car Because of the narrow streets but it offers a luggage service from the car park just outside of the village.
The house can be rented for at least one week (€ 400-600 per week).

We had a wonderful time at the medieval house in Castelvecchio dRB. The place is located at a lovely small village, wich has two restaurants and a small grocery for daily needs. The sorrunding Area invites you to stroll around, enjoy the quiet Nature or go for a hike. If you drive by Car 1/2h you get to various Beaches and larger Cites worth a visit. At the Place itself you you will find a well equipped Kitchen to serve even bigger Groups, our Highlight was the Stoneoven for preparing Pizza. You can enjoy the panoramic view via two terraces, and take a refreshing shower on the upper one. We had the luck to see a deer family right next to the house, they were around for a few nights. If you are into cooking and nature you will definitely like it here, just mind your head due to the age of the Village, some Doors are low.

A little house out of former centuries in a quite lovely old village. It is placed in the mountains approx. 16 km fare from the Mediterranean see. We have used several times the opportunities for do trekking. In the house itself you find everything you need for daily life. For sure impressive is the view from the terrace and the silence you can enjoy in the area.
Check in, check out was happend without issue, Diego and Eugenio are friendly and helpfull.

we had a wonderful holiday. the house is simply beautiful, the place is the right to get to rest. far from the daily madness. the paths in the place are very adventurous in places, you should be good on foot. we knew that and were set to it. eugenio and diego are very great landlords, loving and cordial. and always a tip ready. highly recommended.
