The ancient one-story stone house with garden and parking space in the picturesque village of Agios Ioannis was restored in the spring of 2018 purely ecologically and has already hosted many enthusiastic guests during the summer. Mains electricity independent since photovoltaic system and a solar collector ensures sufficient hot water. The thick stone walls ensure a pleasant coolness in summer and store the warmth of the open fire in winter. Large 2 meter windows with views of the mountains and the garden. Via the beautiful wooden staircase you can reach the large double bed with a view of the garden and the star-filled sky of Crete through the skylight. The kitchen is well equipped for self-catering and has dishes for 6 people. In the village (Agios Ioannis) is the famous' '55 Music Cafe Wine Bar - Restaurant '' with a museum atmosphere and decoration in industrial vintage design, original flavors and live music. Without a doubt this side of Crete has some of the most beautiful beaches on the island like Koutsounari Long Beach, Kakkos Beach, Ierapetra Beach, Aura, Agia Fotia, Achlia, Koutsouras, Makris Gialos, Diaskari ... The beaches can be reached in about 15 minutes. You can also take an excursion east to Xerokampos, Zakros and Hiona. Visit Vai the famous palm beach of Crete. West Myrtos and Tertsa. By boat from Ierapetra you can reach the southernmost island of Europe '' Chrisi Island '' in about 45 minutes.
