About this farm stay rental
Come and stay in one of the oldest houses on Romo.
Ample space for 6/8 adults and children in 5 bedrooms large living room and spacious kitchen with everything needed for your good dining experiences.
Cozy garden with table / benches and gas grill.
The apartment is located at the northern end of the island, where there is peace and quiet, yet short for shopping, beach and nature.
The settlement in Juvre can be traced back to the 12-1300s when the first inhabitants came to the island and through the ages lived to farm and fishery, as well as for a period in the 1600s whaling which is seen by the nearby fence made of walebones brought from the ocean around Greenland..
The farm was built in the 16-1700s and has been carefully updated to contemporary standard with many visible details of the house's history.

Here is plenty of space in and around the house, very short distance to the wild nature of Rømø, with walking distance to the Wadden Sea and the widespread beach meadows where sheep and cattle graze most of the year.
The impressive sandy beach at Lakolk is reached in approx. 5 minutes by car. Shopping opportunities within a few kilometers.
** NOTE. there are limited ceiling height in parts of the house> 2 m. **
Arrival after 15.00 or appointment. Departure before 11.00 or appointment.
** Bed linen and towels must be brought, can be rented for 100,00 dkr. per person.**
The host can be contacted by mail and telephone. Lives in the neighboring house.
In July and August we prefer to rent for 7 days.
It is obvious to experience the wild nature of Rømø from the back of an Icelandic horse, we would like to refer to super good riding place. There are some great eateries that we would like to refer to.
Here's how to get around
There are not many possibilities with public transport, it is possible to rent bicycles on the island, otherwise it is optimal that you bring a car.
The rent is incl. Electricity and water.
However, wood for the stove must be purchased.
The tenant cleans the house himself on departure, in case of defective final cleaning the tenant is charged DKK 750.00/hrs..
A few days a year the area is flown by fighter jets.

The house was even more cosy and beautiful than expected. We had a very nice time. You definetely need a car to reach the house and nearby supermarkets.

We were on the island, me for the 3rd time, getting to know the land, people, and history- including our ancestors. The home was a great place to stay while doing all this because is itself historic, while also having modern comfort and conveniences.

Wir haben nur 3 Nächte in dem Haus verbracht und hatten einen freundlichen Empfang. Wir erfreuten uns an einem gut ausgestatteten, passend modern eingerichteten Bauernhaus.
Entfernungen spielen auf der Insel keine große Rolle und Ruhe ist in Juvre, abseits von Touristenrummel, garantiert.
Wir waren nur zu viert, aber die Räumlichkeiten sind großzügig und auch für deutlich mehr als uns vier Personen geeignet.
Allerdings mit einem kleinen aber entscheidenden Schönheitsfehler, welcher hier bei FeWo leider nicht in der Beschreibung zu finden ist.
Die Räume sind durchweg nur für Menschen kleiner 1,75m geeignet. Zwar ist die eigentliche Deckenhöhe mit 1,95m gerade noch ok, aber die tragenden Deckenbalken im gesamten Erdgeschoss ziehen die Decke auf 1,70-1,80m herunter je nach Raum etwas unterschiedlich.
Wir waren mit unserer Körpergröße von 2*1,80m und 2*1,95m, für dieses Haus zu groß und haben nun zum einen Kopfweh durch regelmäßiges Gegenlaufen und Rückenschmerzen durch das ständige Bücken. Für uns war es gut, das es nur 3 Nächte waren.
Der Aufenthalt war trotz der Nachwehen für uns jedoch sehr angenehm.
