Walking distance to private Lake Lure access perfect for fishing, tubing or putting kayaks in. Minutes to Chimney Rock State Park, Lake Lure Beach and Water Park, Lake Lure Marina, Chimney Rock Village with a winery and breweries, lake/riverside dining, and more. We are centrally located to many activities such as pontoon boats rentals, zip-lining, kayaking, canoeing, snow tubing, snow skiing, horseback riding, numerous golf courses,, fishing, Tryon Equestrian Center with daily horse events, restaurants and festivals, spectacular hiking trails minutes away (Rumbling Bald Trails), mountain bike trails, Lake/River side dining and much more! Enjoy the pristine mountain setting in a new log home on three and a half very private acres. Each level has a large bedroom and a large FULL bathroom (2 bathrooms with hand crafted stone spa showers). There are two master bedrooms with large bathrooms, an upstairs loft/ sleeping area with queen futon bed and tv, The third downstairs bedroom has two sets of log bunk beds, large full bathroom and large playroom with pool table, Foos-ball table /PlayStation/DVD with games and movies. with 2 sets of French Doors to the lower deck with hot tub and back yard with creek.
The kitchen is fully stocked with everything needed for cooking meals including crock pot, lobster pot, Keurig and regular coffee pot.
The upstairs has a big loft (outside of the bedroom) with an additional living room area. Loft has a a queen sofa sleeper, chairs and flat screen tv, DVD player and games. Lots of space in a beautiful setting close to all Lake Lure offers! Wintertime we are close to snow skiing, snow tubing, snowboarding and ice skating.
A huge deck with rocking chairs, handmade log swing and a large log picnic table surround the cabin with plenty of room to barbecue or just relax and enjoy the quiet wilderness.
In the mornings enjoy the sunrise on the very private deck with a cup of coffee or the evenings after a long day of hiking, shopping, horseback riding, sightseeing, tubing, golfing, a beach day etc. Enjoy a lazy barbeque and watch the deer and turkey. Walk to nearby Chimney Rock Park hiking trails!
The town of Lake Lure (minutes from cabin) features one of the most beautiful man- made lakes in the world, according to National Geographic. Lake Lure has a beautiful beach with a separate beach/play place for the kids with a water slide and other activities and lifeguards on duty. Also in the area is Chimney Rock National Park, a great day adventure with a 32-foot elevator built into the mountain, many different hiking trails with spectacular waterfalls, rock climbing, a restaurant at top of mountain and much more. Lake Lure also offers tennis, golf, horseback riding, fishing river tubing, zip lining, putt putt, lakeside dining and so much more. Nearby you will find White water rafting, kayaking, Tryon Equestrian center (with weekly outside events and shows surrounded by outside/inside dining), Grandfather Mountain, Sliding Rock, Sugar Mountain are also nearby.
The Lake Lure Marina has daily scenic boat tours (and a dinner cruise) of the lake and mountains and nightly dinner cruises with boat rentals. The nearby town of Black Mountain is known for its 'antiquing' and downtown Hendersonville is not to be missed, a quaint town with many good restaurants and shopping.
Biltmore Estate with its own winery and restaurant is in nearby Asheville. Also, Dollywood is a kid favorite in Pigeon Forge and is a great day trip with fantastic views. Nearby Carowinds amusement park is another kid favorite! Western North Carolina offers something for everyone !

The cabin was well maintained . Temps dropped during the week and heat was not a problem. Hot tub was able to keep good temps even in the evening. Lake access is not a benefit at this point . Hopefully lake will return to it's past glory. All in all a great stay.

The location is excellent. Secluded but convenient to shops, dining and activities in Chimney Rock and Lake Lure. Lots of great hiking everywhere! The decor in the cabin is perfect. The kids loved the game room and hot tub, and the wrap around deck was great! Easy and quick communication with the owner.

The driveway was horrible! It was almost a reason not to rent it. The house was clean and sufficient. It was a disappointment considering that there was no view of lake or mountains. We would not stay there again
